He needs to pick someone who is a game changer. Michelle Bachmann or Rand Paul will fire up the base and give some personality to his campaign.

Mitt Romney. It's perfect. We already know he's boring, and there's no chance that Mitt Romney will say something that will embarrass Mitt Romney.

Michele Bachmann would sure be a game changer. The only problem is it would drive Obama's base to the polls just as much, and it would almost certainly turn off a lot of the independents.

Rand Paul? Did you not see all of the pissed-off Paulites chewing him out for endorsing Mitt Romney this weekend?

Serious Black: Mitt Romney. It's perfect. We already know he's boring, and there's no chance that Mitt Romney will say something that will embarrass Mitt Romney.

Haven't you been paying attention? Romney embarrasses himself almost every week.

"I like being able to fire people who provide services to me."

"Corporations are people, my friend... of course they are."

"I should tell my story. I'm also unemployed."

"I'll tell you what, ten-thousand bucks? $10,000 bet?"

"I'm not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there."

and the list goes on and on.

That might work, actually. That way, whenever Romney 1 contradicts himself, he can simply blame Romney 2 (who I'm dubbing Yenmor). ROMNEY/YENMOR 2012.

Yea, I really just want him to pick one of those two for the Daily Show segments it would spawn. The "I'm not a witch" girl would also work.

Minnesota, 7 June

Obama vs Romney: 54-39
Obama vs Romney + Bachmann: 56-35
Obama vs Romney + Bachmann w/ independents: 61-26

Bachmann could probably lay claim to the title of Minnesota's most unpopular politician. Just 33% of voters have a favorable opinion of her to 60% with a negative one. Link

With the extra bonus that he wouldn't say no to being VP. Although Pawlenty is like a dull Romney and he's also said he wouldn't mind being VP.

I am not sure if there is anyone out there that will boost the Romney ticket....with the execption of maybe Condoleezza Rice....and I don't think she is foolish enough to jump on that ride. I would like to see it though....

You have to know that you just said something embarrassing to be embarrassed by what you said. I'm not sure that Mitt Romney actually realizes any of those things could reasonably qualify as a gaffe.

Oh I'm with you. She will convince the voters that the Romney Administration's liberation of Iran will be handled with the same competence and wisdom as the splendid little War in Iraq. She can point to her sterling record of major diplomatic triumphs. Obama would be lucky to win Illinois with a person with her undeniable record of success on the ticket. Portman, TPAW, and Thune are the boring picks.

The problem with some of the lot who would jump on the chance (my governor, Brownback, absolutely would... Jindal, Christie, Walker) is that you'd never know if they were in to win in 2012 or if they'd rather lose and be the top contender for the 2016 race.

With her educational focus being the former Soviet Union, this would dovetail well with Rmoney's insistence that we should focus on Russia as our biggest military threat.
I mean, have you SEEN their Navy lately? It's formidable.

If they want boring, how about Ben Stein? He's a Judeo-Creationist or something.

He did the voice of the World's Most Boring Man on Animaniacs and he'd be just the guy to distract the press from impertinent questions while Romney fires the world as the latest in a long series of Antichrists (Bush the Lesser, Clinton the Beastly, Bush the Hurler, Reagan the Brain Dead, Nixon the Bastard).

With Ben Stein droning on, and on, and on in a monotone, anybody would sound Presidential, even the kid who plays Riley on The Boondocks. And with the press safely asleep for 100 years, President Romney could gay-bash and fire people to his heart's content.

Did I mention he scores about 18/20 on the Psychopath test?

Let's face it: isn't Mitt Romney the man that you would most like to have a beer with while he fires you?
