T.M.S.: stoli n coke: T.M.S.: The Homer Tax: Moonraper: So... that's the Book of Mormon? That's what all the hype's been circling around?

It looks... awful. Just awful.

Mind you, I've never actually seen the show itself, but I have the soundtrack. It's absolutely fantastic. It manages to not only be essentially a Satire of the "Broadway Musical," but at the same time it's arguably the best "Broadway Musical" in a decade, if not longer.

Book of Mormon is mediocre at best.

I would call it "mildly amusing."

And having them do the opening number at the Tonys was insulting to the shows actually nominated. But of course ratings are more important than ethics.

It's a tradition for last year's winner to do the opening number for this year's show. That way, it kicks off the show with a musical start without appearing to show preference for any of this year's nominees.

You may now resume your manufactured outrage.

I have attended every single Tony Award ceremony for the past 18 years and have no idea what you are talking about.

You may now resume pulling shiat out of your ass.

A cat fight over the Tonys. How apropo.

Broadway musicals often feature multiple songs, varying in quality.

I think Andy Richter provided the most insightful review of last years Tony Awards. His comment at the very end of the video cracks me up.

Favorite lyric from last night's NPH numbers:

NPH: What if all of your colleagues were hotties
With freakishly flexible bodies
And none of them needed to sleep or eat or pee?

DANCERS: We don't pee!

No, they weren't up for any Tonys this year. They likely were the opening act because the musical won last year.</i>
