It is the same basic problem; you have people living inside a society who say they have no responsibility to the host society's rules norms. (Rules and norms which have been designed and evolved over time for very good reasons in the case of women and girls in "Western" societies I feel, I admit I might be biased in this but...). But these sub sects insist upon the host respecting all their rights while strictly picking and choosing which responsibilities they will observe in turn.
We have the same problem in the UK with sections of the Pakistani community, who when it comes to "their" women (especially young ones) seem to believe they owe no allegiance to British society at all. Religion is used to see off opponents in that too.
