But she said those concerns faded after Romney blasted Obama outside failed California solar energy company Solyndra, which received federal stimulus loans, and his recent efforts to brand the president as incapable of guiding the economy.

Methinks "conservatives" are betting way too heavily on the general population being outraged by Solyndra.

Keep putting your eggs in that basket, GOP

"Guiding the economy" doesn't sound very free markety.

So the GOP's grasp on reality has remained unchanged. Got it.

It is nice to see the GOP finally admit that Mormonism is the one true Christianity, though.

Funny... I kept reading the start of that second paragraph wrong

"I can tell you, I feel a little bit better about that election since what happened on Tuesday up in Wisconsin," Santorum said Friday at a Conservative Political Action Conference in Chicago.

That's Santorum. These farking politician snakes who are farking each other over one minute and become asshole buddies the next. And it has nothing to do with the letter next to their name.

I personally think it is immensely courageous of people to finally get the ball rolling on a violent revolution by posting about it on the Internet.

Speaking of Romney's Solyndra speech, has he corrected the false information he provided in that yet?

Bush tanks economy - republicans claim the president doesn't control the economy.
Obama does instantly repair Bush's screwups - republicans complain Obama isn't controlling the economy well enough.

2012-06-10 07:12:13 PM
But some of those GOP players stress that Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, has little room for error if he expects to topple an incumbent president
Little room for error, have they been following this election, there is no way he doesn't make some unforced errors, let alone the ones he will make when Obama puts the pressure on.

I know we rely on Asians from the eastern subcontinent to normally be keeping our 7-11's humming to the Bollywood, yes yes, but Kenyans are not found to be giving it a bad shake either. They are always be doing the needful.

Solyndra failed due to the Chinese dumping cheap solar on the American market. So they must be arguing for the needful tariffs, yes yes.

did anyone who voted for bush twice vote for obama? I doubt.
will any of those people vote for obama this time? hell no.

will it be a close race? probably
will a LOT depend on the GOP VP slot? hell yes
if the economy collapses, will obama lose? hell yes
if things stay about where they are? coin-toss
if they continue to improve? obama wins

I'm pretty sure you all got trolled. Then again, maybe this is Poe's Law in reverse.

Sure, Obama might not keep it afloat, but Romney would shut it down after intentionally sucking all the money out of the store.

2012-06-10 08:51:34 PM
I'm all for giving the teatards exactly what they want, just to spite them. I don't support murdering them.

- Smaller government = Medicare cuts
- "Free market" = let them privatize their SS contributions on the condition that they forfeit the government returns
- Low taxes = allow a cash value of property taxes paid in exchange for dis-incorporation from their respective towns, including fire protection (it's too difficult to limit police protection, but that can be a freebie) and city water/power negotiated rates.

Aarontology: I like how a Marxist who defected to the Soviet Union and a foreign anti-Israeli radical are "the right" who took out the Kennedys, and how that's justification for mass executions of Republicans.

Holy shiat, it's been a long time since I encountered anyone who didn't think Oswald was a patsy set up by the CIA to take the fall for their assassination of a sitting president.

I can't even comprehend how anyone could actually believe Oswald acted alone. The evidence of a conspiracy is farking staggering.

2012-06-10 08:54:20 PM
No one gives a shiat about Solyndra. I have never, ever heard anyone EVER talk about it in real day to day life. Only on the internet.

However, I hear people biatch daily about the recent unaccountable hard-on the GOP has for crawling up into your lady business and the fact that Romney is about two "Ahoy-hoy?"s and a dirigible post away from being Monty Burns in Mormon form..

What. The. Hell. Are. They. Smoking.

/and where can I buy some?

There's a penis joke in that somewhere. Possibly utilizing that picture of Michelle.

Solyndra - 1/2 Billion Tax Dollars that we will never see again. Yep, nothing to be outraged about.

Maybe Obama should do a few campaign stops in front of businesses that Bain raped.

I heard George Bush directed the planes to crash into the towers because the evidence was hidden in the basement.

Aarontology: I've never heard the teabagging retards advocating mass murder like you advocate.

"We came unarmed ... this time." Over and over and over again. Rush Limbaugh telling his listeners not to "get rid " of all the liberals - make sure you leave one or two on the college campuses, so that the conservatives will always know what to look for.

Generation_D is wrong. But it's true that the rhetoric from the Right has gotten more and more explicitly violent. And more than a few people have acted on those ideas. Hell, we've finally had people bring guns to a President's speech. And no, I don't care that they were (supposedly) unloaded. Democratic protestors have been arrested for wearing the wrong T-shirt to a Bush appearance, but guns at an Obama rally are OK?

The Right isn't afraid of guns and violence, as long as they're the ones in control of the guns and violence. Turn that around, and wup! Head for the fainting couches.

Don't be surprised when it finally happens. It will. Wasn't it President Truman who said something like, "how many times do you have to get hit in the face before you realize who'shiatting you?" Someone's going to get tired of it.

Meh. Chump change compared to the money Haliburton misplaced in Iraq, never to be found.

Which is how many hours it would have taken to not being seen in Iraq?

At least it had a chance to be a positive.

Money could not be spent on this sort of thing, and probably would have been for the best. Might as well concede to China now and save time.

Yes there is a betting thingy, but there's only one problem. You took absolutely no position. You said it might be Romney, it might be Obama or it might be a coin-toss. How are you going to bet on your opinion given your opinion is that anything's possible?

Out of curiosity how does a half-billion dollars compare to ...say ... what we've spent on the Iraq War? Is it kind of like the same thing sort of?

2012-06-10 09:09:08 PM
Well subby, when you consider the fact that running a 7-11 and running the country are two entirely different things that require completely different sets of knowledge and skills, I'd say that one's ability to run a convenience store has just about dick to do with one's ability to run a country. But, if false equivalence helps you sleep at night, you keep right on going with your retarded analogies.

Solar Energy: Suddenly a Chief GOP Concern!

2012-06-10 09:17:27 PM
The GOP was concerned that even they would be unable to pull off the doublethink required to embrace Romney, but after Romney taught them his trademark Etch-a-Sketch maneuver the slate is clean.

Warner Brothers has announced to fast-track a Justice League movie due to the success of the Avengers.

Really? Romney had a pretty crappy week. Obama put his foot in his mouth, sure, but what he was expressing was basically true. The private sector is showing signs of recovery - while the public sector is still hemorrhaging jobs and tanking the overall outlook. We could literally solve that overnight if we wanted.

Romney went out and blatantly lied about Solyndra - only for it to come out that he did the exact same thing while governor. To top that off he got swept up a bit too much in jubilation of Walker keeping his job and declared the Romney path to economic recovery is to fire a ton of teachers, police, and firefighters.

Then again I'm not about to try and think like a wingnut for a second so maybe those are winning concepts to them.

So the GOP's position is the economy is just dandy? How foolish are they?

2012-06-10 09:33:44 PM
I wanna see Obama flip the script, I want him to say "America, swallow the puke in your mouth and vote Democrat, if only just once, and if you give us a clear majority we'll fix campaign finance right off the bat.". That's all I want to hear.

2012-06-10 09:36:29 PM
So, republican strategists and campaign veterans are optimistic that they have been able to get all of the other strategists and campaign veterans to accept Romney?

Well, golly, how'd they pull that one off?

plus china and india have been building huge numbers of fission power plants.
when is the US going to start investing?
probably AFTER we get a lot lower on gas and coal. or it gets cheap enough to build new plants. or too expensive to build new fossil fuel plants.
