SafeSearch is always off on my system, and you still only get cupcakes and flowers. Lame troll is lame.

Adding "Your Mom" to a crappy headline like that should automatically disqualify it from getting it a green light.

Of course the mods around here probably think fart jokes are funny too, sadly enough.

/Just sayin..

There's a photo in the article of the flower. No pics of your mom though. Some problem with the lens or something...

/ It wasn't breaking 'cause she so ugly. They just couldn't find a wide-angle lens big enough.

Seymour? More like "Schultz".

"Amorphophallus titanum (from Ancient Greek amorphos, "without form, misshapen" + phallos, "phallus", and titan, "giant" ), known as the titan arum, is a flowering plant with the largest unbranched inflorescence in the world. The titan arum's inflorescence is not as large as that of the talipot palm, Corypha umbraculifera, but the inflorescence of the talipot palm is branched rather than unbranched."

So, it's a giant misshapen dick that smells of rotting meat? That's nothing to email home about.

Nobody has made the obvious GTA: San Andreas reference yet?

I remember busting out in so much laughter I failed the mission I was on when I first heard this bit come over the radio. Andy Dick was PERFECT for that particular role.

Looks like a giant dick to me, submitter. I guess you don't have any experience with actual vaginas.

2012-06-10 03:04:43 PM
Also known as the "corpse flower" because of its signature smell, the plant's outer-space look inspired staff at the gardens to nickname it "Seymour" in a reference to the killer-plant musical "Little Shop of Horrors."

I guess if it has a dick, you call it Seymour.

If it sounds (and sings) like Levi Stubbs of The Four Tops, you call it Audrey II.

Eh, I wouldn't call this one Stubbs.

Corpses, rotten meat, a yellow dildo looking monstrosity, sexual references and rare events.

Wasn't this in the rejected script for Grindhouse?

I have a smaller version - Arum Dracunculus. Comes back every year with a single stem and a "flower" about 18 inches long. Have to avoid the garden for the few days it flowers each year. This is it from 7 years ago, It will probably flower again next week.

The Amorphophallus here at the University of Illinois' Arboretum in Urbana bloomed this past Winter. That was an exciting couple of hours- now it's nappie-time again for that plant for ten years or so.
