kroonermanblack: And by 'at least some' you mean 'most if not all'. I'll be honest and say I'm working off pure memory which is meh. But doesn't PETA have the highest kill rate of any shelter(s)? Like...they really do kill most of the animals they take in.

*sigh*

I have to do this.

I hate PETA, I hate their stupid asshattery, and I hate most of what they do..

That being said, their kill percentage for their shelters is due to the fact that they take in EVERY animal that crosses the threshold of their intake facilities. Animals that would be turned away at any SPCA shelter or vets office.

They take in DEAD animals, dying animals, and they count all pregnant animals. Most shelters do not do this.

So, in all reality, PETA doesn't kill any more animals than any one else does, they just count all the ones that they take in, and they take in all of them.

/Still hate their stupidity, but when it comes to actually working on/with animals, they are not the monsters everyone likes to think they are.

Relatively Obscure: Relatively Obscure: The email from Peta's managing director Ingrid Newkirk to Miss Lawson offered to pay for 'a brain scan' to determine if her alleged lack of empathy for animals was the result of a 'physical defect'.

STFU and stop taking your insulin

Aww, I think that's the wrong person. Self-pwn.

Yeah, that would be Mary Beth Sweetland, but Ingrid Newkirk isn't much better.

Not only does PETA kill at least some of the animals they rescue, but some years ago Ingrid Newkirk actually advocated people turning their dogs & cats free. Nevermind the fact that the average domesticated cat or dog wouldn't last long on their own. I guess Newkirk doesn't mind them risking starvation, dying from illness or injury, etc, just so long as they're free.

PETA = f*cking hypocrites

Yes, but all the studies/trials sure as hell used animal sources/test subjects. It's like being completely fundamentally opposed to everything Mengele did, but still reaping the rewards of his experiments.

There is a good amount of medical knowledge we have today from his experiments. Almost nobody would condone the experiments themselves, but data is neutral.

Recombinant insulin has almost completely replaced insulin obtained from animal sources (e.g. pigs and cattle) for the treatment of insulin-dependent diabetes. A variety of different recombinant insulin preparations are in widespread use.[11] Recombinant insulin is synthesized by inserting the human insulin gene into E. coli, which then produces insulin for human use.[12]

How many of these PETA people outraged at Nigella's fetal pig dinner are pro-abortion of humans?

/Just pointing out the hypocrisy.
