ongbok: She needs to be medicated. She sounds like a friend of mine. It is sad to watch people slowly slip to this point.

tells us about your internet PhD. meanwhile you can read about a lot of people who had a taste of fame and saw the ugly side that are the machinations of the USA entertainment industry.

artists have been complaining about mistreatment by record labels since before we were born. there is huge chunks of truth in TFA. talent is treated like a commodity. since the talent is usually a sensitive, artistic and creative type that needs more careful handling than most, the offenses of the industry may be perceived as even more harsh.

her rant is not one born of mental illness. she is one more person who has seen the destructive manipulation of an industry first hand. thankfully she was awake and aware enough to shelter herself and her family from the scum before they fully devoured her.

best of luck to her and her tax problem. hopefully her future artistic endeavors will remain more under her control so she can flourish and grow in her expression.

My intention has always been to get this situation rectified. When I was working consistently without being affected by the interferences mentioned above, I filed and paid my taxes. This only stopped when it was necessary to withdraw from society, in order to guarantee the safety and well-being of myself and my family.

I.e., I'm crazy now, leave me alone. Interesting defense. Good luck with that.

farkeruk: rocky_howard: The system's cogs will crush you if you try to step outside the approved road. Freedom is an illusion.

OK, please, tell me what laws you would change, how you would restructure government to improve things from "The System".

I'm not saying what we have is perfect. You want to smoke weed while getting blown by a hooker, you've broken 2 laws that are no-one's business but your own. I'd like to change that.

But try living in 15th century Spain and being an aetheist or a Protestant Christian, or being a homosexual in 19th century England, or a Jew in 1930s Germany or an aborigine in 19th century Australia or black in South Africa until 25 years ago or Inca in the 16th Century. See how much justice you get when you don't like proclamation of a king, how your appeals go based on laws or a constitution when the monarch is both.

Hey, I'm not saying those times were better. God Bless America and all she has done, but there's still so much to work for. Part of the problem is, those ideals have been replaced by plasma TVs, iPads, brand clothing and reality shows. We have equated the material possesions as the only or main form of well-being. As long as you can buy stuff, everything's alright. That has numbed the population. Heck, it has numbed even me, sometimes. It's a very easy life if you have enough resources.
