Just another moment that proves what a joke basketball is. Think about it: In basketball, if you lay up the basketball, you get two points. What kind of joke is that? If you tried to lay up a basketball in mixed martial arts, you would get KTFO. If I ever meet the person who invented basketball, I'm going to beat the shiat out of him.

I wish ESPN would allow their older female anchors to age gracefully. I don't need them to slather on a pound of foundation onto Doris Burke or transform Holly Rowe into a rodeo clown.

I'm torn. Two weeks ago when the Spurs had won 20 in a row and were invincible I was thinking a Spurs-Celtics final would be great to see. Now OKC is in I'm thinking a Durant/LeBron series would be more entertaining.

Baring a quick 3 fouls on Rondo I think they'll keep it close. I hope it comes down to a final possession. I wonded which one of the Marginal 9 that LeBron will defer the final shot to.

True but game 6 of OKC/SA got more posts than game 6 of Celtics/Heat, probably because it was a blowout, but still. Been a great conference finals on both sides.

2012-06-09 08:03:26 PM
The real questions:

1. Can Lebron pull off that kind of effort again?
2. Do the elder Celtics have anything left in the tank?
3. Will Wade continue to hide, or will he impose his will on the game?
4. Will either team get much (anything?) from their bench players?

Seriously. Works for me, I was worried about having to switch between the fight and the game.

2012-06-09 08:05:54 PM
The Celtics seemed to imply that they were going to stick with their previous strategy (doubling wade constantly)...daring LeBron to play the same game.

The most I saw was "we need to play our same strategy better".

I just find that hard to believe.

Boston needs to get their zone defense going, that's the best way to beat Miami. It closes up the lane and forces their non Wade and James players to step up and hit shots.

Let me state this for the record: I find myself actually wanting the Heat to win this game with a huge LeBron performance just because I think the backlash against him has been excessive.

That said, I'd be neutral on a Heat-OKC final.

All you have to do is flatter the guy. Tell him that he knows best. Every call he makes, even if it's against you, give him a nod. A nod that says, "You got eyes like a hawk, Joey. I'm grateful that you're calling this game."

Do that, and you win.

Surprised by the no-call there. If he had missed, they would have HAD to call it.

It's LeBron's fault that Wade is losing the game for the Heat.

Leader O'Cola: can't wait for the whistlehappy 2nd half to even this up

Celtics 11 fouls; Heat 6. Close on FTs though. I could see them call a lot of Boston fouls in the 2nd if this were close on count or if Heat had more. I don't think they'll go too wild though with all the heat on the calls from game 2.

Wade and Rondo have been giving each other the stink-eye for much of the game.

It would hurt Boston more to have Rondo ejected. I figure Wade would love to get ejected if it meant getting rid of Rondo too.

Belladonna's movie F*ck Face disagrees with you. It proves repeatedly that three chicks can give a helluva blowjob. Especially when their getting competitive over it.

Unless your saying that the 3 chicks are just tip smootchers and the one is skilled. Then you'd be right.

We are looking at the whole James 14-Boston 15 FT. Boston 18 fouls to 11 with PP at 4 and Wade/James/Bosh at 4. This just makes me real worried that because of foul trouble Heat get the easy shots and a few extra calls to put someone out of the game.

Dear god please Miami, do not let your guard down.

Celtics do not want to play defense, box out, or run any offense, they are done and have given up. Book it done, just start heaving up threes and not getting back on d.

That deep LeBron 3 killed Boston. Every trip down the floor since them, it seems like they're trying to get the entire lead back at once.

Easy to say now, but it seems like this Celtics team was one or two guys short from being a real title threat. They've only got 2 bench points tonight.

The Jeff Green and Avery Bradley injuries really hurt, because no one else really stepped up consistently in their absence. But if I was Danny Ainge, I'm not sure I would blow this team up just yet. If you can get Ray and KG to come back on the cheap, and then add a guy like Kaman with your MLE, that's a legit title contender next year. I'm not sure any other move they could make would leave them in as good a position near-term.

It's how these playoffs seem to work though. There was almost zero chance for Dallas last year. This year, everyone forgets that this Heat team looks great with all 3 back now. I just see them taking 1 game in OKC, then both in Miami (one cheaply) and closing in OKC.

It's definitely not what I want to happen, just that horrorfilled feeling of doom. Same feeling from Game 5 on that James would win won and then one game with a weird FT setup

Yeah, this is a weird season to base anything on - not just because of all the injuries Boston had (including 2 guys with heart/aorta problems!), but because of the compressed schedules.

The only issue is that next year Pierce, Allen and Garnett are all a year older. But if their supporting cast gets better, and Rondo stays healthy, I think they have a good shot next year.

That would hold more weight if at least 2 Boston starters didn't leave the court and head right into the locker room with 9 seconds left and the clock still ticking down. Come on Rondo, you can't stand around until the buzzer and then get out of there?

I hope your right, but it just seems like we keep turning LeBron now into Cena. He's the unbeatable MVP but we keep pretending he's the underdog. Dear OKC,

Throw a crapload of money at Mark Cuban and get Delonte West on your team. His unbelievable peener is LeBron James's only playoff weakness. I don't care if you have to give up Westbrook and buy 200 boxes of condoms, if you want to win, you need to ride West like Gloria did. Just make sure he has a threeway with the mom/baby momma as that's all that is left to do this year.

Well LeBron is a great player but so is Durant. Then when you look at the rest of the two team's rosters, you'll see that the Thunder are just a better all around team. You couldn't say that about Boston, because they had pretty much no bench or depth. If Miami struggles this much against the old Celtics, they will play worse against the young Thunder.

/would love to see Durant beat James

TheJoe03: Well LeBron is a great player but so is Durant.

Problem is that OKC is going to be playing 5-on-8 most of the series.

Also, Bosh earned his whole paycheck tonight.

Di Atribe: pjlawrence81: Are the Heat fans giving the C's a standing ovation? Good for them.

I think they were cheering because the C's were pulling their starters, thereby putting up the white flag. Please, never ever for a minute start to think that Heat fans are classy.

Ah. I just got the sense that maybe they were recognizing this was the end of this Celtics era, and they were showing some respect.

Lost Thought 00: bblustein: Did Rondo just walk off the court early, without shaking hands?

DESTROY HIM!

Seriously, Lebron did this and got MURDERED in the press, and by many of you.

I'm betting Rondo gets a free pass.

I can understand Rondo being pissed. He's about to be the only decent player on a team that's rebuilding, and his inability to score is going to stand out like a sore thumb

what? In this series only Wade and James had more total points than Rondo, out of all players on both teams (and Wade only had 4 more).

He scores when he thinks he needs to, and is getting better at jump shots and free throws.

SithLord: Miami / David Stern in 6 games over OKC.

Yeah, Stern, the owners' representative, is going to help the guys who basically rendered owners obsolete in their decision to unite against his best friend in the world, Clay Bennett - a guy who he helped move. A guy whose Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame speech he gave.

You're out of your mind.

Well sure. We don't hate Rondo.

I'd almost give KJ a pass because that's probably his last game as a Celtic.

Hondo, no way. Classless.

2012-06-09 11:27:27 PM
If the Heat had beaten the Celtics in four or five games, they'd lose in the Finals no question. But this was a test, and it might help them make the Finals a competitive series.

I won't be watching...maybe checking out the scores every other game or so.

pjlawrence81: this Celtics era

*snicker*

2012-06-09 11:28:21 PM
Well, the Celtics put up a good fight, but Bosh hit some big shots and Lebron gave the Heat some nasty when they really needed it and got them going. Should be a good Finals matchup. Guess I'm on the Thunder bandwagon.

HighZoolander: He scores when he thinks he needs to, and is getting better at jump shots and free throws.

He was a lot better at jump shots than layups over the entirety of the series. But yeah, he was the guy I spent most of the game yelling at the Heat "F*CKING GET IN FRONT OF HIM AND STOP LETTING HIM DRIVE AND SPEND HIS WHOLE DAY IN THE LANE"

2012-06-09 11:29:15 PM
Bosh is going to need shots like that to drag Ibaka and Perkins out of the lane.

I think KD will spend too much energy trying to stop James.

But, I don't think Wade can take care of Westbrook. Plus, you can't have James guard KD, Beard, and help with Ibaka

Weird that Miami will face a team that actually younger and more athletic. You would think that they could beat OKC because they've been here before and Thunder haven't, but that didn't work out well for the Mavs, Lakers, or Spurs.

Reason the Heat exist as they are...

LeBron/Wade teams vs Celtics, 2008-10: 0-3 in series
LeBron/Wade vs Celtics after: 2-0 in series

They knew they'd never make the Finals if they had to go up against the Celtics as long as the Celtics existed as they were.

That's because "reputations" are largely unfounded. Like how Dirk was a choker until we all decided he was a hyper-clutch beast after last year.

Yeah, shrinking in the 4th quarters in the biggest stage in basketball shouldn't effect the reputation of the so-called best player in the NBA. Quit babying him for God sake. Like Dirk, he won't get respect until he earns it.

BTW, hell of a series from the Celtics. Like I said before, if they made it through the Heat, I'd have wanted them to win it all. They're a good team to watch and learn from as old guys, since you learn to be crafty instead of just using pure dominant athleticism.

Ah ok. So it happens here and there, but I've seen a lot of interviews where he doesn't even come close to it.

Anyways, I don't mind either team winning the Finals, but my entire reason for being ok with a Heat championship is so that it will just shut everyone up to a degree. And I'm a *Knicks* fan, people. This was a blood feud for a lot of my formative years.

It depends on how it goes. If he's the reason he gets it, yep, everything is over and he finally takes the seat at the House of Gondor. If this series is a repeat of the Heat's previous title or if he shrinks and they win anyhow (Wade/Bosh too much), then it becomes "well he won one...but he can't do it on his own". Basically Wade moves up the all time rankings and James just becomes "the greatest right now". Wade could never pass James, but he has more to gain/James more to lose unless LBJ goes into Game 6 mode four times.

/Wade has a better PR man

I only watch basketball towards the end of the playoffs, maybe just the finals. Those farkers play way too many games. And half of the teams in the league make the playoffs.

My favorite team is whoever is playing Boston. So I am happy to have watched the game tonight.

I have a question for people who watch a lot of bball. Is there a point in watching a game before halftime? It seems that lead changes and 10-2 scoring streaks happen all the farking time whenever I watch. It always seems that watching from halftime on is the most important. I don't know any other sport that is like that.

His 2nd quarters were worse than his 4th quarters in the Finals last year. (Also, he always had his breaks at the beginning of the 2nd and 4th quarters, so obviously he's going to produce less in those quarters.)

So basing a playoff reputation on what, 4 games of a 70-80 game playoff career isn't stupid? Oh right, it makes sense if you're...umm...oh yeah, stupid.

You can always watch for the pure entertainment value (sweet crossovers, crazy dunks, alley oops, unbelievable passes) and I've also seen plenty of teams lose or win games in the first half. Build a lead big enough and the other team can never recover.

It's not bites - as a white guy with no hops, like I said with LeBron's Game 6...I can't learn sh*t from watching that performance. I'm not ever going to make the ridiculous shots he made. I'm never going to get to split three players and dunk over them. But I can see Ray Allen working his way around screens and finding his spots. I can note KG getting that little extra on all picks and see how it works for him.

I'd learn from Mike Miller on the Heat, but good lord, it was sad watching him out there, getting stuck behind everyone and unable to do anything.

Yeah that's what I was wondering. It's probably only because I watch big games that it seems like leads in the first half aren't that big of a deal (I mean a huge lead of 14+ points clearly is, but I haven't seen any like that). Seeing awesome dunks and shiat is what I would think the entertainment value would be.

I have to expound on this. If all you care about is who wins the game, yes, you're better off waiting until the end and seeing if it's a close game.

But many sports fans like to see individual plays...the dunks, trailing threes, full court passes, etc.

And other sports fans actually pay attention to the subtle details. You notice how a guy shies away from a shot, or has a hard time catching a pass from his point guard when he assumes the PG is going in for the easy layup. Some of us like to know how the whole thing works. Others just want to see the final score.

Do you watch football games before the half?

I don't understand why people think that you only have to watch the last few minutes of a basketball game...you can say that about all sports if you're not that interested in them. Everything adds to a game. If you see a 48-48 score at halftime, you might think it's been a close game all game...but maybe one team was up 20 and the other team completely came back...the difference between basketball and other sports is that runs are actually quantified with points.

Because it is a silly argument based on a selective memory.

Yes, LeBron has played bad fourth quarters and bad end of series games.

He has also gone absolutely nuts and willed his team to victory in must win games being the sole reason for victory. Not to mention a 45 point effort in game 7 in 2008 and a triple double in a series ending game in 2010.

Hell, it you go game by game...he has had just as many off the scales games as he has had failures.

Bad:
Game 5 of the 2010 celtics series when he disappeared
Game 6 of the 2010 celtics series when people blamed him for not doing enough
Game 2, 4, 5 of the 2011 finals where he fell apart or did nothing in the finals
All star game?
Other random bad final possessions

Good:
25 straight, 29 of last 30 to carry Cavs to victory in 2004
Buzzer beater against Orlando
40/18 against Pacers
45/15 in must win game 6
Triple double in aforementioned 2010 game 6

-----------
He's had the games. But people point to three/four games and brush the rest aside.

It wasn't so much about "just seeing the final score" as it was that the first half of games seem kind of pointless to the outcome. With how many lead changes and crazy runs of scoring to the opponents not scoring that happen nonstop, basketball seems to me to be a game where the outcome isn't decided until the 2nd half, if not the 4th quarter. The quickness and ability of any team to score/fark up nonstop in a row makes it really back and forth to me. More so than any other sport I've seen.

It's a fun sport to watch whenever I do watch it, and I like sports in general, all I was saying is that it seems to me that the game itself isn't set until the 3rd or 4th quarter.

IAmRight: Do you watch football games before the half?

Plenty of what happens in the first half of a game matters. If the other teams defense/offense is dominating a game can be pretty much sealed at halftime in a lot of cases. I'd compare basketball games to football games with no defense at all.

I guess it's the nature of basketball being a "non contact sport" where it's mostly about offense only, but that makes it way more back and forth for me. I know they play defense and set picks and all that, but they are really limited with what they can do to stop the other team from scoring, and scoring often.

You just nailed the point of that article I posted before. A whole lot of the perception is based off of selective memory. He's had plenty of great performances in big situations, but because none of them closed out a championship people act like they never happened. It's really a crazy standard.

See ya in October.

In cases like this, defer to the fanbase that deserves it more. Go Thunder!

Most OKC fans don't know jack shiat about the sport. They inherited Kevin Durant. OKC is what, 4-5 years old? They deserve it more? Yeah right.

/hate okc fans

Again, the only thing that really matters is getting titles, you don't play the game for stats and 2nd place, you PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. He can have these big games time to time but if he does what he did in last years finals, he retains his reputation. It's that simple. Like I said upthread, he wins a title, he changes his reputation. No one cares if he had some big game in the ECF if he sucks in the Finals.

I don't see how OKC deserves it more.

The bullshiat owners definitely don't deserve it.

Go Thunder if and only if the victory parade runs over and kills both Clay Bennett and David Stern. Since I think that is unlikely, go Heat.

So, question: if the Thunder win it all and Durant gives Seattle some love in the post-game, does that make it better or worse?

IAmRight: Epiphany: all I was saying is that it seems to me that the game itself isn't set until the 3rd or 4th quarter.

This is true about every sport. (or 3rd period or final couple of innings)

It isn't at all. Soccer there could be a score in the first minute and thats all there is for the rest of the game. Football if your team is dominating in the first half defensively and your offense is putting up points, the game is pretty much over. Baseball is another matter, weird, not really able to compare it to any other sports. Basketball has so much back and forth that how you do in the first half rarely means fark all (from what I've seen).

2012-06-09 11:57:12 PM

Epiphany: first half of games seem kind of pointless to the outcome.

Well then you don't really understand sports. I understand the part where you wonder how a team can build a 20 point lead and then give it up before half-time. But if you pay attention you'll see why that happened.

Sometimes one team built a lead by taking advantage of a mismatch...but then maybe the other team figured out what was happening and countered it by switching a defender, or noticing a small forward was open most of the time and getting the ball to him for open jumpers.

Or maybe you notice that the refs are calling screens more than usual, or charging more than usual.

If you don't watch the first half, maybe you're one of those guys yelling about how they're calling a T on a guy who has been fouling and yapping all game and then he travels.

My point being: If all you care about is who wins, why watch the game? Just go to espn.go.com and get the final score.

What pro athlete hasn't been judged by that standard? It isn't like I'm saying he sucks because he hasn't got a title, just that he ain't as good as he should be and he DID choke last year when it counted. No one puts Marino over Montana.

You can do this in basketball, too. But in the playoffs, particularly conference finals, there aren't the scrub teams you can kill. Just like there aren't too many blowouts in conference championship games and haven't been many SB blowouts in a long time.

Higher standard for greatest. If he wasn't the best, it wouldn't be this way. Everyone hates him yet wants him to pull nothing but Game 6 in the 4 game series. The worst thing would be him backing into the title.

And things will go away if he wins the title. Heck, when was the last time ESPN brought up Colorado consistently with Kobe conversations. Happens from time to time, but once he went to the finals and won again, even that went away.

No, but I'd at least like there to be a better reason behind the venom. Michael Vick? I'm over it, but I can at least understand why others might not be. But LeBron? He's guilty of nothing more than, like I said, a couple of bad PR decisions. To this day people talk about it like it was some unforgivable act. Yeah. I think the Kings are clearly the better team, and I just don't like the Devils due to division rivalry. The sliver lining is that if they win Game 6 the home fans get the celebration. That actually hasn't happened in a while.

I enjoy watching people who are excellent at playing basketball play basketball.

Haha I know, and I knew I was opening myself up for it when asking whether or not a sport was worth watching in the first half. It just baffles me when I see them go up by 10, go down by 10, back up by 10, its weird.

Haha I didn't even know that about the July 8th. Its seriously stupid. I think that most angry people would probably be Cavs fans, and fans of whatever city he didn't pick, and of course the people who hate really good players in any sports. And people who hate rich people. So I guess it does make sense.

And this proves the point I was saying about watching the first half of an NBA game. If you watch the whole game, you get a better sense of what the players might have been feeling.

I didn't see a disallowed goal. Maybe if I had seen it I could argue that it wasn't a high stick or that the team would have played harder if they didn't feel like a goal was taken away from them.

If all I cared about was the final score, what would be the point in watching the game?

I could see why they would be upset. Maybe one of the best players in NBA history just left their team. That has nothing to do with how he did it. They got lucky getting him in the first place, by being a horrible team, and as far as I know (which isn't a lot about bball) he played for them and played to the best of his abilities and didn't hold out when they took him.

Yeah there isn't a lot I understand about basketball when it comes to fouls and stuff, I know they can force players out of the game if they have too many fouls, and if they get too many too soon they usually sit the player down for a bit and that it effects how they play the rest of the game because they are worried about getting forced out of the game, but I'm not up on the nuances of the game to enjoy it as much in the beginning. I like watching it in big games and I respect the sport, just not my cup of tea to watch it too much.

Naw, it was a high stick (pretty much head level) but there was no one near him. It was a friggin' amazing shot. Other than that, they pinged a couple off the posts. Looked like they were the better team for most of the time I was watching, just couldn't put the biscuit in the basket.

What's really weird is this insistence upon "champions are built" or whatever, like we're supposed to root for GMs, when 90 percent of the league's GMs are either incompetent or hamstrung by assclown owners (thinking specifically of my Suns, who helped the Thunder be what they are by trading two first-rounders and their best post player for a conditional second-rounder because they wanted to dump salary and get a mid-level exception).

Sure it was self absorbed, but it was the dominant news story for the entirety of him figuring out what to do. Setting that stage up so people could be like "fark, stop worrying and checking twitter 24/7, I'll know at this day and time" isn't a bad thing in this day and age. I know i was on twitter 24/7 when I was awake waiting to see if Manning picked the 49ers (my favorite team). Would have been a lot better for me had he said "i'ma announce it at this time, and give the ad money to charity"

Epiphany: I could see why they would be upset. Maybe one of the best players in NBA history just left their team. That has nothing to do with how he did it

Actually, it is how he did it. For Cleveland fans, he held this press conference and basically ignored them (spat in their faces, really). No real 'Thank you' or anything like that. Just 'I'M GOING TO MIAMI' and that's really it.

elguerodiablo: It was very self absorbed. Have you ever seen anyone else do that? Ususally its just announced on the news through their agent when the contract is signed and then in the next couple days they have a presser at team headquarters.

But hey, you can either just announce it or you can make $4-6 million for a kids' charity and have a press "conference" you can control rather than a free-for-all. Ultimately, it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, the further we get from it so we get perspective.

Why?

For example, the Boston Celtics 2012 season: "Good job, good effort" (and it's true, that was a hell of a season for a squad as old and injured as they were)

elguerodiablo: Epiphany: I love how super mad people get about "the decision". Literally every farking sports station was talking nonstop about "where is he gonna go?" "when is he going to chose" "whatsup with all these other players deciding they will do what he does if he asks them"? That shiat was nonstop.

So he sets a time and a place to give his choice, and uses the advertising revenue of the show to give money to charity, and people are farking LIVID about it? Seriously?

It was very self absorbed. Have you ever seen anyone else do that? Ususally its just announced on the news through their agent when the contract is signed and then in the next couple days they have a presser at team headquarters. But he was the biggest free agent ever until maybe Peyton Manning so the coverage was insane. Though the reaction shots of Cleveland fans were amazingly funny.

Yeah that's the thing. There was a solid 3 years of speculation about where he would go once his contract was up, and it was really intense the last year. It was still a bad idea to make the announcement the way he did, but it's not like he was the main entity responsible for hyping up his upcoming free agency.

How the fark should he have done it then? Let it leak to the press? Call each Cavs fan personally before and apologize? If he had picked Cleveland then Cavs fans would have no problem with "the decision"

Maybe taking out an ad to say thank you for your support?

Well, overwhelming belief is that he, Wade, and Bosh had been planning to team up for awhile, and he had his mind set on Miami all along. Again, that's the belief, no real evidence to back that up other than they chatted about it during the '08 Olympics, and Pat Riley told Wade he would have to suffer a couple of years of losing until he could clear the cap space to sign all three. What pissed off Cleveland fans was, not so much that he left, but that he kept no contact w/ Cavs management once the Cavs season was over (due to his perceived "quitting" against Boston in the playoffs), ignored phone calls & texts, then, on the day of "The Decision", he had one of his entourage members call Dan Gilbert to tell him Lebron wasn't coming back to Cleveland, en route to embarrassing the team and city on nat'l TV. He was certainly well within his rights to leave, but that city treated him like a god for 7 years, and he treated them like they were just a pit stop on his way to teaming with his friends in Miami.

It was obnoxiously self-absorbed and it's seemed worse to me because it felt like he was using the charity deal to shield himself from some criticism of the whole thing. And the "free-for-all" thing; if you're jumping ship to another team, the only farking question people are going to ask is "why (Miami)?" He seriously couldn't answer why he was leaving and why he ruled out certain other teams and felt the need to insulate himself from that with that spectacle? If he could honestly answer that question, honestly, the hype backlash wouldn't have been nearly as bad. In short, it was pretty damn bad.

IAmRight: It doesn't matter that it's stupid

So if he chokes in this years finals the way he did last year it would be stupid for him to retain his reputation? That's a pretty stupid thing to say. The narrative is there because of last year and if he fails to reverse that in this years finals his reputation should stay the same. No way around it, sorry it hurts the feelings of LeBron's fans.

Omnivorous: From our capitalist leaders (the Wall Street Journal): "The Heat are not the better team in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics are."

So vote Romney because Ruppert Murdoch is smarter than you.

Well, no. Because he wouldn't have been giving his fans the big EFF YOU! See what I mean? There's no other fandom involved if he stays. And there's a big difference between calling every fan directly & just being cool about it. Saying thank you. Acknowledging the people who stood behind him for 7 years. It definitely could've been handled better & it's not even a hindsight is 20/20 sort of thing. I think it's pretty clear how to act right in that situation. He farked up & he lost a shiatload of fans, including myself, who was never a Cavs fan.

I dunno, Cleveland was never really his home.

I mean, it's tough to say based on the area dynamic - but I have a feeling based on what many have said that Akron is kinda like New Jersey to NYC as far as how they're treated by Cleveland. If he'd spent his whole life hearing sh*t about his hometown from Clevelanders, then Cleveland started pretending like he was one of them because he was the best player in the NBA...well, f*ck Cleveland and it pretty much explains all of his actions, like thanking Akron and not Cleveland. "Oh, we're nothing to you until it turns out one of us awesome, then you act as though we were friends all along."

HighZoolander: Because it's better as a sarcastic expression of failure :(

Even though it was obviously never intended as such. The fact that it was immediately considered as such shows how f*cked up the internet and media are these days. People were actually thinking it was more likely that a KID, you know, the people that usually actually do support teams, would be mocking his own heroes than trying to encourage them.
