The one cake looks like what I imagine to be a stillborn child. Blue and creeptastic. And, my favorite, "Mikkel". Uh huh. Ok.

That's the dad's fault. I was thinking more of things running East-West instead of North-South.

Baby's who have just come out of the water slide always look a bit blue, but they pink up pretty fast when they start breathing.

I have an old high school classmate who bakes cakes for people's occasions in a small community where I'm from. She wouldn't think twice about making one of these and what's even more scary is some of the people who live there would think she was a genius for baking cakes like those.

Not about Louisiana?

LOL. I totally wasn't going for the double entendre! ;-)

Here's to happy accidents. (Maybe that should be on a baby cake!)

Diogenes: I've often said that baby showers were lacking in the macabre.

I was recently asked to help organize a baby shower - I really dislike the silly games you have to play at these things, so I wanted to come up with something less cutesy. I suggested a baby pinata, and my friend who hosted the shindig loved the idea. She made the best baby pinata, and stuffed it with baby socks, onsies, and other paraphernalia through a hole in the bottom, which she covered with a diaper. It was awesome. Most of the other guests thought it was weird, but the mom-to-be was amused. We didn't bust it open at the shower - mom pulled all the goodies out through the diapered opening, then restuffed it and took it home to show her husband.

I think that's an awesome idea! Well done. And if mom was pleased, that's all that matters.

I held a coed baby shower. It included tons of beer and wine and a lot of drinking games. You don't know drinking games until you have tried to chug a beer through a sippy cup.

Wow. They could just say - we stole every bit of this content from Cake Wrecks.

I think they owe Cake Wrecks money. Everyone of those cakes has been featured on there.

And god they're hideous.

Also I think this post: meow said the dog [TotalFark] 2012-06-08 10:59:38 AM should be deleted for being off-topic. I am so sick of white people being dicks on FARK.

From the headlines I thought they were talking about abortions....

From 1973 through 2008, nearly 50 million legal abortions occurred.

Talk about doomed.
