But Vader knew about him and just plain didn't give a shiat until Luke came to him, didn't he? Luke just fails for not looking up pops in the public records.


Imperial records don't associate Sith names with their birth names. Anakin Skywalker was reported dead with no association recorded to Darth Vader.
