I don't know how anyone can expect them to pay more tax. They wouldn't be able to keep fuel in the Gulfstream.

Serious question:

How does this information get out? Tax returns aren't public record. So someone in the government is leaking these numbers to justify their agenda.

Well since the IRS releases information like this every year, I guess it is the government's agenda.

It is that magic time machine again. Not really the release of non personally identifiable information has been mandated since 1916.

Yea, but that top # is pretty narrow, and wouldn't be unthinkable to be able to narrow down to people.

No specific, private information is being given out. Is it really that confusing to you?

This is truly the way humanity should organize itself. Guaranteed we'll be doing this in a hundred years.

But...but how much I make is private information! No one else can know how much I make! I'll lose standing with the neighbors!

Alas, in these austere times, I must needs resort to lighting my cigars with $50 bills, as I cannot bear the extravagance of using $100s.

Goddamnitsomuch. I was planning on buying a diamond-encrusted iPhone 5 when it comes out, but I guess I'll have to settle for a gold-plated iPhone 5 instead. FML.

Two? Times must be even more desperate than I thought.

Those 400 could pay 2,680,000 people a $30,000/year stipend and still have a million each annually for themselves. They could end homelessness and hunger in the United States but instead we let them hoard it and live like royalty while people starve and die on the street like animals.

And how many people in 3rd-world counties could you by yourself support by having some jackass on the 'net arbitrarily decide how much you "deserve" to have and liquidate the rest for their benefit? Likely in the hundreds. So why are you hoarding your wealth (relative to the 3rd-world) instead of ending their suffering?

Started to feed this troll, but decided midway through that no one could be this stupid and loud.

so, I will just express concern at the story and wonder aloud raising taxes on how 200*200 million (40 billion) by even 30 percent (12 billion) pays for everything that "taxing the rich" is supposed to pay for.

First of all, why are you only raising taxes on half of the 400 people? Or have you not learned the number '4' yet, because I'm pretty sure the numbers are 400 and 202 million, and not 200 and 200 million. And you do realize that there are more than 400 rich people in the U.S. that need their taxes raised, right? Or do you think #400 earns $202 million a year and #401 earns $50,000? Or are you just a complete dumbass and completely missed my point like the child-rapist svenge above you... that some of your neighbors are hoarding amounts of money they could never possibly spend while they turn their head to avoid seeing their fellow Americans starve to death? Why do you masturbate with feather dusters while the wind whistles Dixie at the spawn of your discontent?

Your use of the 'net completely discredits and embarrasses you, and invalidates any argument you may have thought you had (but your argument was complete garbage to begin with, so I guess no harm no foul). I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

I also considered going with "the mere fact that you called it the 'net shows me that you are not ready to post on it yet."

Your post was pretty god damn stupid and embarrassing as well. Perhaps you should stop posting, too.
