One I took while flying "over the top" Atlanta Airport. Also one of my "fishfinder" on my way back (not over the top).. Had a lot planes taking off and landing. ATL control is really cool.. if you listen to them they let you fly over whenever you want at 5500 ft.

Hmm... looking back over my album, you are likely correct. The chronology puts it between eastern US and the Rockies.

Hometown is on there. #10. It's cool that it shows the pressure cracks in the ice so clearly -- every winter one or 2 form at the end of Picnic Point (the peninsula in the center of the image).

Here's ~$1.2 billion worth of Airbus 380s sitting idle at LAX when they were grounded shortly in late 2010. There were two more off-frame. Nothing really interesting (plus it's a crappy blackberry shot), but damn, that's a lot of money sitting idle.

sweet! now I know the exact spot!

Who says Fark isn't good for anything?

Seriously, I had no idea where I was. All I knew was that I was close enough by plane to Seattle (destination) that it took about less than 30 minutes to land and leave the plane from that photo.

Actually, I misspelled it. It's Orondo.

Right below the fire is the Rocky Reach dam. We go boating up there about once a year.

skrame: Is "pharket, Thailand" pronounced how I imagine it is?.

Unfortunately, no. The correct pronunciation is closer to "pooh-ket" than "f**k it." There is a slight aspiration of the P, but it's pronounced with a "hard" P. In Phasa Thai, the letter "P" is bilabial plosive. The "f" sound of Thai words is transliterated as "f" in English.

Granted, there are people who consider a hard-P coupled with "poo" to be erotic, but not the Thai. If you want to visit somewhere that considers "hard P" and "poo" to be erotic, I recommend Germany.
