RIP fictional guy

2012-06-06 10:52:02 AM
He died Tuesday night, his daughter said Wednesday. Alexandra Bradbury did not have additional details.

Has someone in his family recently had a baby? The police should really look into this.

2012-06-06 10:52:08 AM
Fark me. Ray Bradbury?

2012-06-06 10:52:16 AM

He was one of the sci-fi authors I read when I was a kid that got me into the genre. RIP Ray.

2012-06-06 10:53:53 AM
Pfft. A real journalist would ask if he is going to be cremated, and if so, at what temperature?

2012-06-06 10:53:54 AM
"The Martian Chronicles" touched me as a child.

// No, not that way

The ABC's of Science Fiction: Asimov, Bester, and Clarke.

There will come soft rains for years in his memory.

2012-06-06 10:55:49 AM
RiP Ray. Your stories were poetry. You made me want to live on Mars. I wanted to be a living book. Say hello to Asimov, Clark, Heinlein and Herbert for me.

You'll be missed, Gary Bradberry.

The times I met him at Comiccon he was kind and enthusiastic. My service dog liked him instantly. He always stopped to say hi, even if it was just to me & not her. He was one of the good guys.

RIP

Ray Bradbury actually lived to 92, but a time traveler accidentally crushed a butterfly and killed him a year early.

2012-06-06 10:59:33 AM
He's up in Heaven now.

2012-06-06 10:59:38 AM

Holy crap, it's really dusty today...

2012-06-06 11:00:14 AM
Damn, Bradbury was one of my favorites. Asimov and Clarke had great ideas, but Bradbury was more about the characters.
