It's going to take me some time to process, but allegedly 51% of the people who voted for Walker are Obama supporters.

Right, the fact that Obama was smart enough to avoid injecting himself into an election that his side could easily lose even when his numbers look great for November shows that he's doomed and Palin is...oh never farking mind.

Neither was Romney. So it could have mean both campaigns didn't want to be tied to a losing candidate.

Romney's great-grandfather fled America to practice polygamy in Mexico. Just throwing that out there.

Obama's reelection will turn on the state of the economy over the next five months and nothing else. It doesn't matter whether or not he's responsible, the swing voters that now decide every presidential election will credit him if it's good or blame him if it's bad, and they'll make that call within about two weeks of going to the polls.

Yup. Although I wouldn't have minded seeing the DNC at least meet the RNC's efforts in WI.

I think both a, b, and secret option k (for koch). And it's not just a liberal boogie man. The Kochs are completely open and up front with their beliefs and intentions. They just deny they're doing Satan's work. But they don't deny doing the actual work.

I'm sure the corporate GOP fans have big pockets, but there's still a limit to both amount and enthusiasm. And they just spent $30.5 million on what proved to be a superfluous election.

I don't think it was 'superfluous'. I think Walker needed to be kicked out of office...but he made a deal with several devils and simply spent assloads of cash to stay in power. just goes to show how important money is in politics - you spend enough loot and you'll beat your opponent.

That's no reason to snub them. IIRC, there was some Democratic candidate for Senate in Massachusetts who thought her win was a lock, and did little to no campaigning. Way to make the voters feel special, lady.

While I'm sure it helped,it's not the only reason. The democratic party of Wisconsin didn't win over the independants.

They had a bad candidate and lots of people thought recall election should be only used for malaface.

It would have been better if Democratic party would have waited until actual elections. Then they would have had lots more issues and a race that people were expecting.
