I think that politicians should have to fight it out in the Thunderdome. Two men enter, one man leaves. This way there will be no more biatching and the greater man or woman wins.

I told ya to run Falk. But no, you ran the milquetoast candidate.

Of course, I don't think anyone short of Feingold was going to win this.

Maybe he'll run in 2014. It should be a cakewalk against Kleefisch.

I am willing to give Walker a clean slate and a new beginning. Based on how he governs from now on, I will judge him. Hopefully he will try and help the economy of Wisconson and try and be less partisan. This is America after all, the land of second chances.

Do you have any idea how much out-of-state money he raised? Somewhere just shy of 25 million dollars, about 20 times as much as Barrett raised.

For a governor in an unimportant state (sorry, Wisconsin), that kind of money doesn't come in without making promises. Even if he wanted to be less partisan, he doesn't have a choice.

Yeah, you're full of shiat. The republicans keep trying to defund and/or eliminate public education (which keeps the poor poor), eliminate health care (let them die, they're already poor!), and keep them from voting (they aren't white land owners so fark them!). I've been reading the Fark forums for 10+ years and in that time I've seen changes that make me sick. This was not what I was taught growing up. So-called Christians that cheer on the elimination of social programs that help the poor while allowing themselves to get farked by their employers because they have no brains. If you are religious at all and you don't follow what Jesus taught in the bible you need to shut the fark up. You want to eliminate the lazy farkers from welfare? Sponsor reform and actually fund it so we can have people enforcing the rules. No, that isn't an option. God help you if you claim to be religious because you aren't getting into Heaven with the shiat you're spouting.

I was laughing in tears listening to NPR this morning: "Scott Walker, the divisive, bipartisan governor who declared civil war on democracy, narrowly avoided a humilitating recall that would've restored human decency to the state's beloved and honored teacher's, nurse's, and blind children's unions. Thankfully, despite what we reported yesterday when we thought our side was going to win, this has no effect on the upcoming November election. Now let's go to Lackme Signh for this report on Tom Barrett's philanthropic missions which we prepared before realizing he would be defeated in a rigged election."

I'm sure you have a citation for that. Also, maybe you should've gotten an education so you wouldn't have to work until you were 70. It isn't the gym teachers fault you made the wrong choices.

Nothing about Scott Walker's history indicates that he will be anything less than a purely destructive force. Of course, he never was anything other than a purely destructive force. Once you've declared war on your state and tanked the economy you leave yourself with very little to threaten your citizens with.

In the end, the recall effort took the state senate out of Fitzgerald's hands and put it in the hands of Dale Schultz, the last GOP moderate in the state. Hardly a victory by any stretch of the imagination, but it forces Walker to screen his agenda through a moderate before he can act on it.

This is what I find funny - people blaming unions for all of their woes. I've got a neighbor that biatches about the NEA so what does she go to school for? Education. Now that she's a teacher she's stopped biatching about the NEA. I originally went to college for music education. I realized that I wouldn't make much money doing so and changed majors but the more I watch people demonizing teachers unions the more I'm glad I switched majors. Why go to school for 6+ years just to be told I don't deserve $40k a year? It's sad that this country has become a county of "fark you, I've got mine" and the "Christians" are the ones trying to fark everyone.

Yeah the Koch brothers just bought themselves a state. Expect there to be a wholesale selloff of state lands and assets to 'private industry'. Expect every environmental and labor law in the books to all of a sudden need to be 'revisited' to see if it is economically sound. Expect every time there is a budget item related to the poor, the unions, teachers, or any social service that they will just have to make more cuts. And expect more tax cuts for the rich.

If you call yourself a Christian and aren't following Jesus' word you need to STFU. You aren't getting into Heaven by being a hateful dick. farking the poor and telling homosexuals they aren't people isn't being a Christian no matter how much you think it is.
