My oath on this; everyday that the princess sits on her ass in Coruscant, looks west at sunset, and thinks to herself "God bless you ignorant cocksuckers on Naboo who strive mightily and have little money, to add to my ever increasing fortune," she'll be safe from the whiles of Darth Sidious.

Roook: Will we finally get Jedi boobs?

The original cut of ROTJ had Olaah, Jabbas dancing girls, fell out of her top while struggling to resist Jaba.

And it won't be Firefly in space. It will last a full season. And it already had one successful film.

Not sure if want. On one hand, it's Star Wars, and I've loved it since I was a kid. On the other hand, almost all future Star Wars exploits (minus the video games) have sucked donkey balls.

Clone Wars is actually very, very good. It has all of the stuff that people were hoping for in the Prequel movies. And Lucas was right to put it into a series: It gives it more time to expand certain concepts: Such as clones emotional state, corruption in the Repuplic, Jedi becoming corrupt and as bad as the Sith. Palpatines manipulations being thwarted by Padme, more time exploring the romance between Padme and Anakin.

That and the animated acting is far superior to the actual acting in the prequels :-)

Why is he crying about the budget? Star Trek did shows a decade or more ago that were chock full of visual FX on a syndication budget and they didn't have their own FX shop to work under. Sure the Star Wars show will probably be more advanced FX wise but I doubt it's going to break Lucas' bank.

Even if Lucas loses money initially because of production costs he should think of it as an investment. The DVDs, video games, merchandise and most importantly, keeping the Star Wars franchise in general relevant. More people are going to buy old SW shiat if the new shiat keeps it in the public eye.

In conclusion, Rick McCallum is a sycophantic douche.

Yeah, Karl Marx would have been yelling at the movie screen "THE CAPITALIST HAVE PIT THE PROLETARIAT AGAINST ONE ANOTHER FOR THEIR OWN GAIN YET AGAIN!"

Hmmm, was the Federation on Star Trek communist or was it funded by taxes? Or do things just get strange when you get replicators and unlimited amounts of energy?

I haven't seen the Blu-Ray, but the first DVD release (the one that came out in 2004 or 2005) still had Twi'lek boob-a-poppin.

New SW TV show (up in the air) to be more adult oriented. New SW game to possibly be rated M. Lucas is retiring. So is he letting the adult members of his board make the decisions now?

I'm ok with this.

you sure they didn't mean a 'Space' for 'Deadwood'.

I've loved Star Wars since the first I saw it at a now demolished movie theater that was near the Plainview diner in Plainview, NY... But lately anything that gets in contact with Star Wars just plain-view sucks.

Ah the Thrawn Trilogy. How do they convey clones with extra vowels in their names with dialog?

"Are you Luke Skywalker or Luuke Sywaalker?"
"What the fark are you talking about?"

And midichloreans? They suck! Furry worms that eat the Force? Absolutely!

Thrawn did look cool I guess, I'll do his color correction for free. Call me, Lucas.

River could kill him with her mind. She told Jayne so.

Plus, fear leads to the Dark Side, and River's had her amygdala stripped so she can't not feel fear. She'd make Vader stop whining about that biatch Padme and worship her, then they'd go take out the Emperor.

One of my coworkers pointed out that George is all about merchandising

If he cant add something fluffy and retarded that can be mass marketed as a collectable talking plush or an action figure, then he wont do it.

Be sure he will contaminate any of these "ideal series" in post editing and burn through 1/2 the budget in CG adding something that will just piss fans off

When I saw the original write up for the star wars TV series I could swear it sounded like they were making Cowboy Bebop the live action mini series!

Now? I think they are trying to make another ball of tears

You are mistaken." Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate...hate leads to...suffering. "
The Sith doesn't car if they inflict fear. They let their fear, anger and hate give them great powers against their enemies. And

There was never any evidence of River having psychic powers. Besides being half cyborg her blows would have not even been felt. Besides. Vader would just pelt her with heavy machinery until she was a bloody spat.

And they would not join forces. Palpatine had too much of a hold on Vader. It was only Lukes hope and love that convinced him to change.

Yeah, that's a great theory except for the fact that there could have been about 8 more Star Wars movies than there are if Lucas really wanted to do everything based on money. And the whole giving half of his fortune to charity and creating ILM and Skywalker Sound which employ hundereds of people and don't always operate in the black but...Jar Jar!

The problem is, who cleans the toilets on Voyager?

Being a starship captain, being a chef or writing poetry are the sort of jobs that people might still do, just because they're fun, but no-one is going to clean the toilets on Voyager for that reason. I'm not saying it's a dishonourable job, but it is a job that no-one is going to do without getting paid to do it.

The no money thing is horseshiat.

For one thing, the mention of not using money was in Trek 4, well before replicators. And even in TNG, they used money all the time, whenever the story called for it. The truth is, they didn't know WTF they were talking about regarding money.

They have a program that automatically beams filth to the nearby refuse station.

There, does that satisfy you? And can I get a job writing for Star Trek now?

If the prequels (and Jedi) are any indication, the biggest hurdle that this production likely has to overcome is the "50 hours of 2nd draft scripts" they have.

Enough of the sniping about McCallum. He does what the boss tells him to do, like most of us in life...except we don't have a hundred thousand sniveling fanboys biatching us out for doing that.

Have you watched TNG lately? The production values were good for a show of it's type, but terribly limited. A Romulan warbird is nearly twice the size of the Enterprise-D yet its bridge set is the size of my living room. Give me a break. Lucas wants epic stories on a regular basis, not "bottle shows" with exteriors on Planet Hell with a cyclorama backdrop.
