I think the slightly ironic thing is that he's an athlete taking a phys ed class.
They got rid of the sports & exercise science major & minor at my school so athletes wouldn't have a cakewalk major anymore.

Perhaps it's 'ironic' because he is very good at the position of tailback for his team -- and for that you need to be in somewhat of a good shape.

But then I don't watch college football. He could possibly be a lazy lard ass and fail PE for that. In that case, it'd be 'obvious'.

Given that it's Clarett, maybe a "meltdown" tag would be more appropriate.

It'll really break my heart to never see him wear #13 again. Yup. Total heartbreak.

I'm a Buckeye and Clarett is a fool, no doubt. HOWEVER, he's not alone in his delusion. Seems to me that his mother, Jimmy Brown and his a$$hat lawyers aren't doing anything to get his head on straight.

Other than the fact that he put the Bucks in a really difficult position this year for no reason, I don't have anything against Clarett. He's a gifted player and it's sad to see him throwing his gift away.
I hope that he can mature at some point and learn the meaning of self-sacrifice, teamwork and humility. It's a big lesson, and who knows how long it will take him to learn it, if he ever does.
It seems like he is lacking in intimate relationship types to hold him accountable. His mom seems to be an enabler. And I have it from an inside source at OSU (prominent in the athletic department) that he listens and seems to acknowledge what he's being told, but just goes out and does the opposite. So it just sounds like immaturity.
But, who knows...maybe he can just join LeBron's posse and get along that way for a few years.

First of all, Clarett is not a tailback at OSU. He has been removed from the team. He is just a student now, and apparently not a good student.

I find this whole dilemma quite entertaing... how many athletes at every other university get "help" in classes, I know they do at my school. And being from Ohio, I'm so sick of this story... let it be.

BoozeItUp - you're talking about football players and basketball players, not athletes in general. Trust me. Those two sports have been completely corrupted (even at small time programs) but athletes in every other sport have to be big boys and girls and take care of themselves.
