I had a zune, but the only thing I kept was the Zune pass. Damn good deal, that. I am grandfathered in so I for $15 a month I get all the music I want to download, plus 10 songs to keep (usually in MP3 format). My wife never buys music for her iPhone now; I always use some of those for her.

So I say: "The zune is dead. Long live the zune pass"

I've still got a perfectly good zune 120 that does everything I need. I'm not too worried that the software will keep me from using it.

//yes, I still love my zune.
