How many people here hating on Taco Bell like Chipotle? I'll admit that Taco Bell isn't the best stuff out there, but it never treats me the way Chipotle does.

/And as bad as it treats me, it treats everyone around me even worse.

Last week i forgot to pack my lunch so I decided to hit up taco bell. They had a Fritos burrito, of course I had to try it. Not bad but better then the Loco Taco would rather get a Grilled Stuffed Burrito with steak next time.. Everything I thought about the Doritos taco has already been said. Usually I prefer to go to Robertos or Qdoba for my quick Mexican fix but occasionally I get the craving for Taco Bell. I've never had the issue with having stomach problems after eating it either.

thurstonxhowell: bow: They don't taste that different, and you end up with orange fingers.

This. It was just as tasty as the rest of their stuff, but they managed to make it even more messy. This is why stoners don't usually get to make decisions.

bdub77: I haven't willingly eaten Taco Bell in years. Way too many good Mexican options in the area.

Taco Bell isn't meant to compete with sit-down restaurants. Let me know when there's a better taco joint with a drive through that can have me out of there with food in hand in 2 minutes. Especially if they have a drink that mixes better with rum than the limeade sparkler. Oh dear god do I love my rum and limeade.

Chipotle can have you in and out in about 2 minutes. But you're gonna have to get your fat ass outta the car. Sorry.

Just another Heartland Weirdass: bdub77: I haven't willingly eaten Taco Bell in years. Way too many good Mexican options in the area. My wife has the occasional craving but I'm pretty good at talking her out of it.

Taco Bell is ass. It just goes to show that most of America is obese and/or stoned.

Willingly? Tell me about the times you unwillingly ate bad Mexican tacos. Go on, tell me.

They're taco-boarding people in Guantanamo now.

See, the very existance of this particular food item is proof positive those 80s and 90s PSAs we grew up watching on TV were dead farking wrong! People who smoke marijuana CAN make something of themselves.

MythDragon: Is it suddenly popular to hate anything that is a chain resturant? Peoplehere on fark have bashed everything from TB and Burger King to Chili's and P.F. Chang's.
Yeah, sorry TB isn't Hector Gonzzzzales who servers up his magical burritos out of a cart right next to where you work on Wall St, which are the best in the world, and you've been eating them since before it was cool to go there.

Don't laugh, they're testing out Cool Ranch Dorito tacos too. I'm sure they're gonna be just as awesome.

fatalvenom: Rapmaster2000: We made up this story about someone driving 900 miles for a taco, and cast these attractive hipster approximations in a Volvo 245 to try and convince you that this really happened.

File under commercials I hate.

I love that you called out the 245. It's the hipster Bentley. Since the local supply is getting thin, I've been seeing a lot more of them buying beat up Saab 900s.

Wow, hipsters actually LIKE selling their arms, legs, ass and genitalia to pay the repair bills?

Hmmm...I've been meaning to investigate the Black Bull (I live not far away in Gulfport and am "up that way" quite often). What do you recommend there that makes it so delish?

Taco Bus is, of course, the shiznit.

Yes, call me when they come out with the cool ranch. never liked the nacho cheese doritos.

/love dipping cool ranch in sour cream.

I love Doritos (why, yes, I do sound fat), and I love cheese. However Doritos are hardly real cheese and belong nowhere near any other cheese, or cheese like substance.

As a picky child, in the lunchroom, one of the few things I would eat is their so called "Nachos". For a time, they decided to change the regular tortilla chips to Doritos, and it was the most vile disgusting thing ever.

So the idea anything else made with Doritos makes me want to vomit. Nevermind that I don't like beef thus tacos anyways, but it sounds gross.

Plain original flavor Doritos for me, thanks.

How about Taco Bueno, it's far superior to Taco Bell

[assets.bizjournals.com image 280x418]

I like the Bueno. They put a few in town a few years back, then closed them all down. Too much competition from The Bell I guess.

Contrabulous Flabtraption: also, Del Taco is superior - SUPERIOR - to Taco Bell

I came here to say this as well. If you must eat fast food, you could do far worse....

Taco Bell is cheap(er?) and fast mexican-style food. It won't have the same quality as the upscale Mexican resturant that sells plantains with poached quail eggs. But what did you expect? For fast tacos at 2am, TB is pretty damn good. And the Doritos tacos are quite tasty.

ALL of THIS!

You know whats even better? French fries IN the burritos. TB had some tasty concoction many years ago, that had fried potatos loaded in the burrito. It. Was. Awesome.

Look, by the time I find a free handicap spot (my doctor says it's not healthy for me to walk very far, due to the load on my joints), unload my rascal scooter, and take a oreo break after so much exertion, it takes upwards of 40 minutes to get into Chipotle. (I can cut that down to maybe 25 minutes if I don't eat the whole bag).
And that is just too much time to aquire sustanence. It's much faster to hit the drive-thru and get my before-lunch snack of 12 taco supremes and a large diet Coke.

Not a huge fan of these... but also not a big fan of hard tacos in general.

Regarding Doritos - personally, I miss the Doritos 3D. Less tortilla-y, more flavorful. If I want tortilla chips, I'll get the plain ones and pair them with salsa, sour cream, etc., but the 3D ones were like a whole different product that I really enjoyed.

ciberido: Hmmm, would most Farkers agree that Del Taco is better than Taco Bell?

Del Taco is better, but only marginally.

I don't understand why everything in a nominally Tex-Mex restaurant chain comes with french fries, though. Isn't the best side dish for a couple of tacos another taco?

WTFDYW: antidumbass: Taco Bhell meat contains Silicon Dioxide, or powdered sand if you need it spelled out.

Makes the taco or burrito *feel* heavier, like you got your money's worth. Anyone okay with this may continue to eat sand.

The only thing I don't like about Del Taco is that they over-char their meet. I know that they're going for a carbonized flavor, but it doesn't really agree with me.
