Shouldn't he sue the agent that told him he should follow up Usual Suspects with Bio-Dome?

Fark it, I don't care who knows it. I think Costner is one cool mofo. So what if he has done some regrettable movies. Overall, I think pretty much any guy would love to have his life.

Yeah, I'm actually a fan. Still hoping for a decent movie sometime this decade, however. The last movie he was in that I remember enjoying was Open Range, and even that was so-so.

So basically, Baldwin is suing that he couldn't benefit from insider trading?

I believe Kramerica Industries will have an attorney present as well.

At this point I think we call all agree that Coster's mad science career more than makes up for Waterworld. The coolest part is that he made it beyond the Kramer stage of development and managed to sell a working product.

You know Darren, if you would have told me twenty-five years ago that some day I'd be standing here about to solve the world's energy problems, I would've said you're crazy ... Now let's push this giant ball of oil out the window.

Didn't see it, but the Hatfields & McCoys TV miniseries last week got some pretty good reviews.

No, he tried to sell technology that had been around since before Exxon Valdez. BP only paid him so he would get out of the news cycle

i finally watched "waterworld" a couple of years ago, and i rather enjoyed it. "tin cup" almost had my friend and me taking a roadtrip to west tx, but then we remembered there is no reason to go to west tx

It would be nice if it worked to remove oil from the water. World would be a better place. But there's no way, out of a million chances, Baldwin will win this. Rumor has it this is just revenge, a testament to Baldwin's ego. In a perfect world the postman would deliver him a cease and desist order. He's gonna need a guardian or a bodyguard when the company men come for him.

Okay, here is my opinion of the Bonds (Not in any particular Order)

1)Connery: His first couple of Bonds were really good. He had the killer instinct and nice touch on the humor. But his two weren't very good.

2) Lazenby: Was really bad. I mean he had a bad script, but he also had a sleazy pathetic side of him. Especially the scene where he reads and steals a playboy from an office.

3) Moore. He had some great movies "Spy Who Loved Me", "For Your Eyes Only" and some really crappy ones "View to a Kill", "Moonraker", He also had some that are questionable "Live and Let Die" has a big racist overtone..."Man with the Golden Gun," Had a great concept of Assassin vs Bond. And Christopher Reves. But it brought back the redneck Sheriff. But there was far too much Camp.

4) Dalton: The Living Daylights wasn't bad. However there was the whole Aids scare that made Bond monogamous. License to Kill sucked ass. It took all the "fun" out of Bond. I'm sorry. James bond is part gadget, women and action.

5) Bronson: He was really good. Higher than Dalton and Moore. He brought a weariness and dark humor to the character. They had a nice balance of gadgets, womanizing and action. But he was hobbled by two rather forgettable Bond Movies and villains that were mediocre. I did like the concept of Die Another Day, but the execution was horrible. Invisible car? Seriously?

6) Craig. Had the best non-Connery Bond film. And the second worse (Octopussy will always be the worse, to me) Casino Royal was the closest to the original Bond Books (I read it just before the movie) but Quantum of Solace sucked ass. Serious sucked ass.

I heard that this one is his last one. Hopefully it will be better.

Between this and the online panhandling it's clear that Baldwin's idiocy and lack of talent have left him broke. He has even resorted to reality television, a clear sign that he is washed up. With a little luck this will be the beginning of a slow-motion trainwreck, although it is possible that he'll find a new hustle.

That's about what it boils down to, from what I've heard over the news.

I'm guessing he'll eventually become a televangelist or something of that nature. Perhaps he'll take over as host of the 700 Club, Pat Robertson's getting pretty old and there are still plenty of rubes that need fleecing.

Wayne 985: I remember enjoying was Open Range, and even that was so-so.

See it again. It's better than you remember. You just have to be willing to let the unhurried pacing do its thing in setting an authentic mood. Besides, that shootout is one of the all-time greats.

But yeah, the guy's definitely hit-and-miss. But when he hits, he does good stuff.

/"Thirteen Days" is great (Costner didn't direct, but he had a significant hand in the filmmaking)

I'm no expert on Kevin Costner by any means, but it seems to me that he's made about three movies that are undeniably good, and probably four or five more that are at least entertaining. The problem with the good ones is that they're good almost despite him, and the entertaining ones could've been so much better without him.

Good: Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, The Untouchables
Entertaining: Robin Hood, Waterworld, Tin Cup, Open Range

What about JFK? Dances with Wolves? Yes, both are too long, but they are undeniably good and/or entertaining.

What other information has been in the news about this story? Isn't Costner's company a closely-held corporation? Baldwin seems to be suing Costner's company because the company knew that it was entering into a deal with BP and didn't share it with a shareholder (Baldwin) and that shareholder sold his shares before he could receive the benefit of the deal. What am I missing for this to be insider trading?

Just watched the Hatfields and the McCoys.

the show was alright, but I thought Costner did a great job with his role.
