Someone ran into the front of a former tattoo parlor that sits two storefronts from the Quick Stop on Leonard Avenue made famous by the Kevin Smith movie "Clerks," Middletown police Lt. Ernest Volkland said.

So, a car hit a closed tattoo parlor two stores over from the Quick Stop. Slow news day.

If it's two doors down from the Quick Stop in that strip, that would make it the site of the video store where Randall worked, right?

I visited the quickstop once,
it is in the middle of a subdivision, and feels like someone just bought a house in the neighborhood, bulldozed it, and built a store there.

so weird.

Luckily a QUICKER STOP opened across the street.

I always thought they never got to film the funeral scene where the blond chick killed herself after she realized she humped a corpse because of budgetary restrictions

Pretty much the same thing.
If you consistently HAD THE farkING PHOTOS OF THE INCIDENT I might actually be interested. As it is I don't know if it's true or rumor.

I guess I feel about the same if somebody ran into the depot from The Station Agent or Bada-Bing's from The Sopranos

can't tell if there's a tat shop or not on Google
Link i hate those half-assed Garden State Parkways & Turnpikes(esp the f'd roads in Somerset County, & all those swamplands where cars into New York are backed up by trains, bridges) with a passion, & those dubious Russian "full service" gas station attendants, so far sketchier than their Oregon counterparts....& I want the Kings to beat the Devils, is that so wrong?

Britney Spear's Speculum: Quik Stop on google map

You do realize that folks can hover over the link and the destination shows in the bottom of the screen right? I mean come on, a google map link that goes to youtube? You aren't TMLO so I somehow doubt it goes to that goofy "Final Countdown" video so I'm guessing you went with the tired old Rick Roll. You could have at least tried calling it a link to a video of the Quik Stop or something.

Rye_: Suck a terrible movie. Yes, suck.

It was low budget and his friends as actors, so yeah, it's not going to be a very high quality film, but I maintain that it was a good flick, and influential in a lot of ways.

Kevin Smith is clever and hilarious in every interview I've heard. He shows up pretty regularly on KROQ's morning show and he's always been very entertaining on it. I liked Red State and Dogma was alright, but I just don't get the love for Clerks. It is awful on every level.

No. The tattoo store is not there. Different building.
The former video store is just an empty storefront used for storage...

fusillade762: Guidos?

Wrong part of the Jersey Shore. Besides, the guidos don't live at the Shore. They just come down from NY or North Jersey and ruin it for everyone else.

It's Gannet going behind the pay wall. They did that to my hometown paper as well (though I can usually just see the big stories on the local TV web sites). Sounds like you have to pay a subscription and you don't even get access to all the Gannet sites.

For the time it was pretty clever and he showed a lot of promise. The whole foul-mouthed slackers obsessed with pop culture minutae thing hadn't been done to death and it was a continuation of the episodic quality of Linklater's Slackers but with less people and a funnier character in Randall. If you were a 20-something college kid weened on Troma and MTV it would blow your mind that some normal guy could make an enjoyable film that was so cheap looking.
