......Just throw a 7 hit, 5-0 complete game shutout using only 100 pitches........... Is this one of those
'rearrange the words to make a sentence' quizzes?

Well, if anything, the Mets bullpen ought to be quite rested .

If they win, its despite Dusty. If they lose, its because of him.

Those numbers are really impressive when you consider they were put up by a knuckleballer. Oh yeah, he's 8-1 after yesterday.

Ouch my ears ..... You said the name that shall not be said, at least here in San Francisco when he took out a perfectly good pitcher late in game 6 of the 2002 World Series. Makes me think of Purim and I can hear the graggers they give the kids to drown out Haman's name with noise when the Megilla is read.

Ah, the Mets... where throwing a 7-hitter and actually winning is worth celebration.

Yes, the 5 years of 70+ win seasons since your last playoff appearance must have been horrific.

Sincerely,

Baltimore.

People looked at the O's and say "Ouch...sucks to be them."

People look at the Mets and laugh at our spectacular misfortunes. Loudly.

So yeah, you guys have had it way worse for a long time, but I don't see people lining up on the schadenfreude train to ridicule the O's for every failure.

Mocking the Orioles since '88 has become something akin to laughing at the Downs' kid running the bases during a tee-ball game: sure, we all do it a little on the inside, but we also realize that it's just in bad taste.

I'm looking forward to hearing about how he didn't prepare right or threw his cutter too much, and having everyone somehow ignore that he hasn't gotten his curve over in five starts.

Well, laughing at the O's is kind of like laughing at a retarded 4-year-old getting mugged by a crack addict. It would take a Farker.

Greg Maddux could go twelve and not throw 100 pitches.
