So, anyone know what a dorp is, or more specifically, why this article seemingly confuses rather than enlightens?

"Dorp" is an Afrikaans word meaning "small town." The article confuses more than enlightens because it's written by an Australian, and about 90% of the vocabulary of Australia is made up on the spot for the sole purpose of confusing the pommies.

Probably the dumbest article I've read. And considering it's focusing more on South Africa than Western Australia, the terms used in the headline don't make sense.

I'm from Perth, WA. Carnarvon in the north of WA was used for the manned Space Flights by NASA..
