fta It's not that German food is bad, it's just a little dull

My dad used to say, "There's a reason you let the Germans make the cars, and the Italians make the food."

New Farkin User Name: Yay, reference!..., but why was this greenlit?

There is nothing wrong with cake being greenlit. Or pie, if you must lie about it.

Mister Peejay:

That is disturbing and disgusting.

And I say that as a fat man.

One of the main things I remember from my time in Nurnberg Germany, during the Viet Nam conflict, was the vast array of pastry shops, and the wonderfully decorated cakes and pastries. Black forest Cake was always available. many types of tortes. Beautifully decorated. A slice could be yours for around 2 marks (50 cents). While my buddies were out drinking good German beer and getting laid, I was hanging out at the pastry shops!. I might have packed on a few pounds, but I never came down with any social diseases!!

notmtwain: Could you be a little more specific about what lie you are referring to, subcaketard?

Perhaps it's the claim that:
"Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte has never faded in popularity in its homeland, and for good reason. It's simply better in Germany."

/ Perhaps you mean to make a claim for your own Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte?

Or perhaps you've never played Portal.
