Things like this make me thankful for my fairly normal neighbors.

Something similar happened to me once. I lived above a Texan who had persistent good luck.

Indeed. I'd much rather live safe in the knowledge that none of my neighbours have guns and can do this kind of thing.

I value the freedom FROM guns much more highly than the freedom to own them, and I'm somebody who loves shooting.

If only the floor was allowed to carry conceiled full-automatic hunting grenade launchers, this wouldn't have happened.

Ehhhh, damned floor had it coming.

WHY CANT THEY MAKE POT MORE "ILLEGALER"??

seriously and you still have people talk about legalization.
look we all LEARNED how dangerous a drug this and LSD was. which is why Richard Nixon made it illegal.

and me personally. i've hurt many people emotionally while under the influence. good thing people forgive otherwise i'd be in a whole butt hurt of misery.

/actually serious for once?

People, much less, families cannot be "evacuated" from buildings. Buildings are evacuated, not people. Well, people can be evacuated, but that means that they shiat themselves.

So just to be clear. They found drugs and a shotgun in HER apartment, and the boyfriend is getting the blame?

Lives in a bottom floor apartment

Stoned or not, they violated the cardinal rule. It's loaded.

I've lived in a bottom floor apartment before. I can understand the desire to shoot through the roof; some of them are very poorly build and you can hear every damn step. Then you have an occasional jackass that stomps around or runs.

2012-06-03 09:25:56 AM
Hey, there were spiders on the floor .... what was I supposed to do? NOT shoot them?

2012-06-03 09:26:45 AM
Deer slugs? Holy shiat that's crazy.
Two holes, two trigger pulls! This does not sound like an accident. Once might be considered an ND, twice is just bad aim

I have two sets of neighbors living above me. The one that lives above my living room is awesome, but she's lived there maybe a year less than I have and we're friends, but it seems almost every single person that lives above the bedrooms suck. I'll give the new set of neighbors a break since they haven't stomped, sounded like they're fist fighting or had an active meth lab up there yet.

/I'm glad I don't have to worry about most of the building exploding anymore since my awesome neighbor has oxygen tanks and a meth lab exploding would be terrible.

A Remington 870 is a pump action shotgun. There is no way in hell to have 2 NDs. A deliberately ignorant transnational progressive could probably manage to have 1, but 2 requires intentional actions. Somebody was stoned enough to think that was a good idea.

I'm trying to figure out how you have one apartment over your living room and another apartment over your bedroom. The only thing I can figure is that it's like some of the old, massive houses in my neighborhood that got broken up into six or seven tiny apartments per floor.

The first apartment my ex and I lived in in Miami just after we were married had losers like this.

One guy on the second floor of our building decided he needed a gun but hadn't a clue as to proper safety. He bought a .357 Magnum and was playing around with it when it went off, blowing a hole in the wall between his apartment and the one next door as well as through the wall of that one into a third apartment. Yeah, he got evicted.

2012-06-03 10:06:21 AM
I don't see the problem here. The upstairs neighbour was just exercising her 2nd ammendment rights.

He was standing his ground, literally.

Soooooo many Red Flags from reading this story....

- The ShotGun Went Off where it exits from the floor of the apartment and stops on the next floor below?
- Both the girlfriend and boyfriend who triggered the shotgun abruptly left when it happened?
- Leaving behind stuff that makes the cops go hmmmm....
- Holding the weapon for a friend? Yeah rigggghhhhht

The shotgun did not belong to the women or her boyfriend, she told police. Rather, it belonged to a friend named "Jason" and they had been keeping it at their apartment for him.

Uh, yeah.

"Hey, guys. Do you mind if my shotgun crashes at your place for a while? It's well behaved and it doesn't take up much space. You...won't even know it's there. Promise!"

There are two apartments on the ground floor and four apartments upstairs. The apartments on the ground floor are huge two bedroom apartments but the apartments upstairs are tiny 1 bedroom apartments. The buildings in the middle of property are townhouses and behind the townhouses are another brick building like the one I live in but that entire building is one bedroom apartments, but they're much bigger than the ones in my building.

All I can think of is the guy below said he heard A noise like a firecracker so perhaps the slug fragmented. The cops said they only found one empty, although they didn't mention if there was an empty in the chamber.

Stoned and armed is still no way to go through life

I people fired a gun through my ceiling, I would probably evacuate.

But anyway, you're wrong; the first definition even applies to people (and not in the poop sense).

It isn't the firearms that are the problem, it is some of the idiots that own them.

I remember in my first apartment years ago, the asshat on the floor above decided it'd be fun to absentmindedly bounce a friggin golf ball on the floor. When I went up the dipshiat actually kept doing it while answering the door.

We had a polite discussion* and he stopped...in fact, he became very quiet. He was evicted 2 months later.

/polite discussion: I pointed out the size disparity between myself and his puny stoner ass and further pointed out that I might get a little cranky if his behavior didn't improve while living above me.

And given that a large percentage of any given population is going to be made of up idiots, it's sane to have laws that restrict access to firearms.

/this is why we can't have nice things
