As long as she wasn't having the affair with a student, who really gives a shiat. She can still be an effective teacher and leader.

Headline is somewhat inaccurate...she accepted the Omaha job, submitted her resignation effective in June, then the emails were found, so she resigned from DSM a little earlier than planned, which got the paper wondering why she upped her resignation date, they filed a FOIA request, saw the same emails.

/Don't shiat in the same place that you eat

Give her a suspension for miss use of the schools email and let it be that.

Stupid supernintendos, when will they learn?!

2012-06-02 11:12:35 PM
Too dumb to be superintendent.

2012-06-02 11:13:41 PM
I'm sure she will land a high paying superintendent job somewhere else in the Midwest or high plains.

Crazy eyes? I can't seem to get past that proboscis.

I feel sort of bad for her actually. Her husband obviously doesn't want to be around her, and now she's alone and unemployed. Bummer.

She looks good for 57. (No prob with the face here.)

how did the school board find out she was using the school computers to communicate beg her lover to shove his big cock in her tight pussy during school hours?
if it's because she is extraordinarily stupid maybe this dismissal has merit.

As it was explained to me once by a male acquaintance of mine after I questioned the quality of one of his sexual partners: "An oil change is an oil change."

Well first the Des Moines superintendent of schools resigns for her affair, and now the Ankeny (north of Des Moines) superintendent just quit and is in big trouble for making it look like he was out a job so the school board game him a "transitional allowance" but actually he's moving to a higher-playing position in Illinois.

Grrr Iowa.

/I love it here, I really do, No shait

2012-06-02 11:37:23 PM
For 57 she looks pretty good.

2012-06-02 11:38:38 PM
Hmmm, it appears it took the Des Moines Register and the Omaha World-Herald to break the story through open-records request.

Yep, newspapers are dead; they serve no purpose.

2012-06-02 11:39:18 PM
Is tag for school district?

2012-06-02 11:39:59 PM
To be fair she took the Omaha job first, then got busted for the affair. I like the newspaper timeline:

8:45 a.m. Saturday: In an interview with the Register, Sebring says she has no intention of stepping down as Omaha's superintendent. The Register's editor had informed her a sampling of the explicit emails would be published.

9:14 a.m.: DesMoinesRegister.com publishes the emails.

11:30 a.m.: Sebring submits a letter of resignation to Omaha schools.

What a difference three hours makes!

That picture just screams "Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to plead ignorance on this thing, because if I had known that sort of thing was frowned upon..."

In her defense, you should never sound less than thrilled about having and dedicated to keeping a job you even slightly want.

2012-06-03 12:04:50 AM
At orientation I remind people that they should have a personal email account. Do not use your work email for personal communications. I suppose they did not remind people of that.

Lost two jobs because of a month and a half pump n dump relationship - that's gotta sting.

In one of the emails, Sebring said the salary from her new job in Omaha would allow her to divorce her husband, who spends much of his time in Colorado.

Awkward.

2012-06-03 12:16:49 AM
Although I would never use my school e-mail for my affairs, I say BFD to this.

2012-06-03 12:19:53 AM
So what's the problem?

I mean, yeah, you can fire her for violating the internet policy in Iowa.... but she didn't break that rule in Nebraska, then why resign/get fired there?

Maybe it's on her permanent record or someshiat like that, it's just stupid to fire someone from two different jobs because she made a mistake on one of them.

I feel bad for her-stupid email

that's the sad part. of course she was stupid to use a work email account so there's that too.

maybe she was a probationary employee and the board felt this move was the most effective way to quarantine the contagion that is her promiscuity.

I'm pretty sure that these and superintendent are mutually exclusive. School administration jobs tend to have a maximum IQ requirement. :-/

How long is the line now? Is there any point to taking a number?

In my case the question is whether I'll lose the ability before I forget s-e-x ever existed. So far they're neck-and-neck.

bootymama: Saturday: In an interview with the Register, Sebring says she has no intention of stepping down as Omaha's superintendent. The Register's editor had informed her a sampling of the explicit emails would be published.

If she was already leaving her Iowa job, I don't see why it was necessary to hound her out of Omaha too. Why should the Des Moines Register care what happens to a superintendent on the other side of the Missouri river? Clearly, she has a messed up marriage. That's not a reason to leave a new job, I think.

From http://blogs.desmoinesregister.com/dmr/index.php/tag/nancy-sebring/

"The Omaha board will have to work out the details of a contract with Sebring, who currently earns $206,178, a figure that excludes a $34,019 annuity contribution and a $6,000 annual car allowance."

FTFA: "In one of the emails, Sebring said the salary from her new job in Omaha would allow her to divorce her husband."

So making nearly a quarter million a year wasn't enough?

Gawd they pay these morons too much.

Well, it prompted her to forget her obligation to follow corporate guidelines and waste resources. This could be considered theft.

i guess the fact that she would do something which is noone's business but her own probably compromises her ability to suspend students for 10 days for hugging or 90 days for bringing an aspirin to school.

Over in two.

Toss a scarlet letter on her and be done with it.
