MadAzza: imprimere: OH MY GOD! The savior performed another miracle! Stop what you're doing and remember where you were when.

Still, that's about the most meaningful signature he's penned since taking office.

Yeah, it really is too bad about all the extremist GOP obstructionism. I agree, he could get a lot more done without those jackholes trying to bring down the country.

It's always someone else's fault. The American left is perfect and if it weren't for the darn right, the nation would have no problems at all.

MayContainHorseGluten: Peepeye: I'm a democrat, but if I somehow received a republican presidential excuse note, I would frame it. Geez....lighten up folks. It's a cute story.

No kidding. Sounds like lately Obama couldn't save a family from a building single-handedly without being criticized for something something socialism.

Well, that depends...would he have used taxpayer dollars?

I bet the poor kid who only got an excuse note from Chris Christie feels robbed...
/it's not even on official Governor of New Jersey stationery!
//which I hope isn't scented...

Unlined copy paper stolen from the hall copier IS official Governor of New Jersey stationary, assuming it has a bit of barbecue sauce on the corner.

Then it would have a bite taken out of the corner. Christie would never leave BBQ sauce lying around.

I longed for a similar note written by President Clinton: "Dear Coach Kessler, please excuse Louis from P.E. for the rest of time...

Did anybody else visualize this during the last paragraph?

I really need to spend some time gathering my autograph pics in one ready to go list. As a used book dealer I've seen plenty of them, but being in Dallas I see more Mike Huckabee and Rick Perry than Barrack Obama.

As far as signatures go, that's a pretty good one. Shaquille O'Neal, at the other extreme, is two squiggles. The ones that actually have value I either have already sold online or I keep tucked away on an inconvenient shelf that'll take me an hour to liberate. Hmm, I actually do need to upload a bunch of these to Amazon.

Okay, took about five minutes to upload a few that were at hand.

He's a decent painter, but one of the added selling points to his paintings is that, in addition to having been painted by a dude who actually walked on the Moon and commanded Skylab, buried in the paint somewhere is a tiny trimming from one of the patches from his lunar pressure suit. They weren't allowed to keep rocks, or even pebbles, but they were presented the patches (mission patch, flag, and nametape) and some of their other crap (the Museum of Science and Industry and the Adler Planetarium both have a collection of such material on long-term loan from Jim Lovell for example). Embedded within the fibres of course, is lunar dust. So each one of his paintings comes with a genuine, albeit microscopic, bit of the mother farking moon.

I can't afford one of his paintings, though.

I do, however, have a three-page, handwritten letter from Dr. Theodore "The Unabomber" Kaczynski which he wrote in response to a note I had sent him complimenting him on his writing and letting him know that I cited to him in a paper I authored.

Yup! Some people are just happy to let hatred eat their brains. And are too dumb to realize they are doing the exact same thing that the Bush Derangement Syndrome people did.

It's a cute story. You'll get over it, hateful retards.

UCFRoadWarrior: To Whom It May Concern, I Present a Note to Thee:

On Thursday, this 21 May 1788, the young Josiah Wentworth was absent from his scholastic pursuits to assist the First Lady and I with the annual latrine cleaning at the Presidential estate. Per happenchance, please excuse the absence of young Master Wentworth on this day.

With Most Kind Regards,

George Washington
President

Is there a particular reason you chose my family name for that?

This is cool. But then again, I'm a Democrat. But then again, he's the President of the country. My daughter got out of school in the sixth grade one morning. Not just her class but everyone at the entire school watched on TV as she was one of a group of kids who recited the pledge of allegiance.

Like I wrote, I'm a Democrat, but back then I found a few photographs and made a single webpage so her out of Sacramento area family and friends could see. The page is still here.

Those who ignore because someone doesn't agree with them are pretty damn intolerant of people outside of their little box. Guess you aren't really better than any other close-minded prick.
