Yes, and I am one of the perpetrators, sporting a 7-3/4.

" The heads of white Americans have become larger, taller and narrower since the 19th century, a new study says."

What the typical white American will look like in 50 years:

Amen to that! My employer told me I had to wear one of their "one size fits all ball caps", my response was "I'll wear my own hat, unless you're going to special order me something".

The real child like tendency of Americans ( as well as their profound fear and insecurity ) is best demonstrated by their pathetic desperation to have their ego stroked. Americans are really farked in the head.

I have a friend who has a huge head, as does his brother. After she gave birth to them, she still wanted a daughter but said "I'm adopting a girl. I can't handle another boy being pushed out."

looking at porn, what women take in there, taking out the bigger head ks not gonna be a problem.

Thank you.

Just to share the love. Shirt Punch has t-shirts in 4X. And Tom James has custom made suit for those of us who need a 59 in the shoulder and only a 47 in the torso and don't want to spent a thousand dollars for a suit.

Yoo, Hoo! On the hat problem, have you considered a Fedora, or perhaps a Derby.
You may only wear "cowboy Hats" if you have livestock.
Livestock can mean a kitteh.
Put Farm Truck tags on your Landrover.
Apply for subsidies=WINNING!

I've gotten a few hats/caps from BigHeadCaps.com over the years, their prices are decent, but the selection isn't that great. They're good if you just need a plus sized ball cap, but fancier hats not much choice, found a place called DelMonicoHatter.com that carries some plus sized fancy hats like fedoras, but it'shiat and miss on finding a style in your size if you wear size 7-1/2 and up.

All this hat talk reminds me of a "medical Miracle" in Pecan Gap Texas.
Top notch neuro surgeons had managed to keep an infant alive even though it had no body, only a head.
He was pretty unpleasant around birthdays and Christmas because he'd always complain...NOT ANOTHER GOTDAMNED HAT!

I always wondered what my hat size would actually be since 7 3/4 is the biggest stocked in most places.

I finally figured out how to make a practical use of geometry.

Take the circumference and divide by pi. Tada. Round up to the nearest 1/8th= Hat size.

// I'm sure it was obvious to everybody but me. Yes, you're amazing and I'm a moron. Didn't I see you in the Macy's parade last Thanksgiving?

Probably for the same reason I couldn't find size 15 shoes back in the 80's without special ordering them, but now can find them on the rack even at places like Kmart. We're about 20-30 years behind the times for the needs of our growing heads and feet.

But not our bellies. I've always been able to find fatty fat fat shirts.

I'm a 7 7/8 and I basically gave up on hats years ago. Even with one my size it still looks like I'm wearing a tiny hat on my head. Damn genetics and my family's round faces.

/I also have the same problem with gloves and shoes. It's not so much the length but the width where I have problems.

Size 8 here too.

Fat heads rejoice. The real fat heads and not those damn wall stickers.

If you want a ball cap Minor Leagues have 8's and I have been using them for 4+ years now. Great prices and fast shipping.

Minor Leagues, hats for heads

Motorcycle helmets are hard to size too. I got my hubbie a new XL helmet a few years ago that was too small. We weren't sure if it was because of irregular sizing within the industry or if his head was just too big.

Tilly is another place that makes large hat sizes, but be warned they are NOT cheap. Still, rugged, stylish looking, and they'll replace damaged/worn out ones for life.

2012-06-02 01:08:13 PM
The hat problem is even worse if you're a woman. Almost everything is one size fits all. Yeah right.

7 7/8

Simpson Bandits come in XXL. That works out to 7 7/8 to 8. They are Snell SA2010 rated. They run around 400 bucks. I use mine for auto racing but I also had one when I was riding a bike. (moved to Florida but lacked a death wish) They do lift a bit around 90-100 mph but if you tuck your chin it is not a problem.

Really? most places go up to a 7 1/2

Unfortunately I'm a 7 5/8
