Shields needed to be painted as green pig faces.

So today I used my shield and helm and battled angry falcons on top of a stone tower. What did you do?

Thunderboy: These are Peregrine falcons. It's because of people and programs like this that they were brought back from near-extinction in the 80's and 90's. They were removed from the endangered species list over a decade ago, but they are still in trouble, which is why they are still bred in captivity.

Peregrines are awesome and you should feel bad for doubting these fine people.

I'm not sure how programs like this helped bring the numbers back. If it's anything like when the US ran out of Eagles, they just got more from Canada.

They're simply monitoring them with all the banding and blood samples, and i do believe the stress to the animals outweighs the delight they might have when a dead one is found somewhere wearing one of their bands.

twomutts: Wouldn't it make sense to come out with some kind of a dome tent or something like that over the researchers? Less chance of them getting hurt and less chance of the mother falcons being injured, too.
