"Strange things are afoot at the Circle K"

Luckily, I do not live in an area with a Circle K because every time I pass one of those convenience stores I think of that quote.

/"Rufus"
//"Wyld Stallyns!!!"

Not a great movie, but I remember lines of dialogue and cadences years after seeing it still.

pretty much this. Hell, maybe it was because I heard the whole movie quoted verbatim by dozens of different people, but I never saw what the big deal was with the movie. I would pay to never ever hear another person quoting Holy Grail.

swahnhennessy: For those of you who haven't figured it out yet, quoting movies is rarely a good replacement for wit. Especially you guys quoting Monty Python. The world hates you.

Just for that, I've quoted AND posted a pic from Holy Grail in the politics tab in the nuns thread.

rickycal78: It's Buckaroo Bonzai. It's an ok flick but it hasn't aged terribly well.

Hey, hey hey. Don't be mean. We don't have to be mean.

Great quotes, but the movie's a little too cultish now. It used to be on HBO and whatnot fairly regularly, but it hardly shows up anywhere anymore, so a lot of people, even geeks, haven't the faintest idea about it. Thus, you don't hear quotes from it terribly often, and even when you do, you may not necessarily know that what you're hearing is a quote.

"Don't tug on that. You never know what it might be attached to."

"If there's one thing I hate, it's to be mistaken for somebody else."

"I've been ionized, but I'm okay now."

kroonermanblack: Shadow Blasko: List COMPLETELY fails without Lebowski, (Although, it is debatable if that is a "geek" film, it is still quite often quoted by geeks. Any movie that makes cameos on Power Puff Girls and My Little Pony has got to have some serious geek cred) Office Space, and last but CERTAINLY not least...

[billwardwriter.com image 640x383]

Anyone tell me what he linked in that photo? Don't know it, but if it's equitable to Office Space, Lebowski, etc...

Also: I hate, loath, despise, abhor, and generally wish to muder the Monty Python movies. They're mediocre at best, and having people shiat themselves to quote them non-stop for 10 years at me just rapes the funny right out.

Love the shows, can't stand the movies.
