To be fair, I don't believe there actually are any legitimate voters in Florida.

2012-06-01 10:53:19 AM
Next: Florida will try to purge all felons from their voter rolls as well. But to make things simple, they'll just count all blacks as felons.

Rick Scott can DIAF.

I didn't think the Justice Dept. would be this brazen, but I can't figure out what would make me think that.

They already did that one.

Republicans only believe in power which is why those who believe in fairness and justice are always at a disadvantage.

The Herald is trolling the masses and based on the comments they're lapping it up: Feds to Florida: halt non-citizen voter purge

Yes, who would have thought that the Justice department would brazenly promote civil rights, just because that it's it's purpose.

I'm sorry, but the burden should be on the state, not the citizen, to prove legitimacy. I have a coworker who has the latino equivalent of Joe Smith for a name, and he has basically given up fighting it, given the number of felons struck from the rolls with the same name. This despite having honorably served in the Marines and then the Reserves.

At this point, I would let all citizens have the right to vote, even felons. I would not require polling places in prisons. But a prisoner smart enough to apply for a mail-in ballot wouldn't be excluded. If there are so many felons that they've become a voting bloc then maybe we as a society need to consider the ramifications of this.

As to Florida, Fark 'em. And any other state that tries to pare the rolls because the bulk of those pared are of the other party than the one in power in the state. I think that those who do this should be criminally prosecuted and thrown in jail for their taking away of peoples' rights.

The law they violated says you can't take illegally registered voters off the rolls within 90 days of an election. Apparently, the August primary is the "election" they are using to substantiate the violation. I swear I think this Justice Department is trolling us.

Oh, and some citizens had to show proof during the investigation of their legal status to vote. I have to do that every time I go to the polls.

Why don't we just purge ourselves of Florida?

If they were just removing inelligible voters, I don't think many people would care. That's not what's going on. They are removing people who are most likely to vote Democrat, even though they are elligible to vote.

Anyway.... my take-away on this is that the aliens vote democratic, zombies are totally republicans.

By eligible voters, Eric (head facist in charge of covering up black crime) Holder means, dead people, illegals, children, felons, people that live/vote out of state and any entity that democrats can use as a voting block. It's the 21st century, anybody that can't come up with a picture id isn't really trying.

For what reason do you advocate criminal activity by Florida officials?

Ah, all black people are criminals so they shouldn't be voting. I was wondering what you guys were thinking. Arguing in favor of disenfranchising legal voters is extreme even for you guys.

Well, we see it as extreme now, but I'm pretty sure without a major overhaul we're going to look back at 2012 as the good old days of the GOP for voter rights.

Ten years ago I wouldn't have thought it possible that a major political party could behave like this in the modern USA. But there's got to be some limit to how crazy they can get.

I really don't see the point in trying to re-fight the civil rights movement. You lost back in the SIXTIES - you think you're going to win now? Is what's probably going to be a futile attempt to win one, last election?
Seems silly.

What seems silly to me is believing the article says anything similar to what the headline says.

I know it's makes you feel all proud and righteous to rail against the manufactured injustice described in the headline, but it just looks pathetic to people who can read.

This justice department is just a bully tool of a political party. Amusingly, not a very effective one.

fine...lets let every one vote with no proof of who they are. idiots.you biatch when say republicans stole the election in 2000 yet you balk at any attempts to "prove" one person one vote. I really wish one time republicans would blatantly commit voter fraud, widescale and proveable. of course that would mean jail time but what the hell democrats rarely go to jail for that. anyway once it is proved that republicans voted more than once, then the libtards would want voter id......on a tangent, i really dont have a problem with felons voting, if they served their time or were out on parole..thats entirely different than foreign invaders voting in our farking elections.---- how are people living in our society with out ID?

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about, and I'm pretty sure you don't either. This is only one of many voter-restriction schemes that are going to get tossed by the courts and the DOJ. We went through all this crap once before, and I'm old enough to remember it. It's only one aspect of the history I see repeating itself all around me. People never learn - especially stupid, mean people.

How many of you dumbasses defending Florida's corruption actually live in Florida?

And do you know the difference between ballot stuffing and voter registration suppression--including the humungous statistical difference in terms of frequency of instances?

Bet you'd be crying if most of those purged from the voter rolls were over-50, white millionaires. You'd be cuddling up to the Justice Department the way conservatives always cuddle up to the Fed when it attacks their personal enemies.

I just love getting stuck in line behind a democrat who is pretending to not know that an ID was required for cashing a check ,etc .
