Fox News lies.
MSNBC lies.
All the other networks just plain suck.

So I guess between them all they really are Fair and Balanced.

go watch the video then try to re-type that headline with a straight face subby.

Fox ran a campaign ad. That video doesn't look anything like a campaign ad.

How is it that you utterly fail to grasp what gets down voted? Hint: it isn't an automatic to all Republican links. It's done to shiatty Republican blogs who intentionally make up everything to suit their official GOP-issued talking point for the day.

The Atlantic doesn't come close to that category.

i LOVE how republicans just can't let shiat go. it's like the sandra fluke thing. instead of realizing they farked up and trying to bury the story, they kept bringing it back again and again by trying to say, 'b...b...b..but democrats!'

it's PR 101, assholes.

Ummm... I'm about as Liberal as they come, and I can't even watch MSNBC. The bias is so grating, it is easily as bad as Fox News is, just on the opposite end of the spectrum.

I'll take the BBC, thanks.

The video lampoons Romney's habit of gaffing whenever he opens his mouth, and plays off the theme of the Oscar-winning film The Artist in which a silent film star struggles to adapt to films with sound.

How in the blue fark is this equivalent to the Fox video?

bull. farking. shiat.

yes, msnbc has some liberal pundits on at night (shultz, sharpton, maddow, o'donnell). but their news reportage is FAR more fair than that of fox news. and that four-minute video? that was produced BY and FOR fox and friends, their morning program, which purports to be a news/human interest program a la the today show or good morning america. msnbc's morning program, morning joe, is an opinion show HOSTED BY A FORMER REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN.

if you think fox and msnbc are the same, you're either not paying attention or you're a moron. seriously.

Four years later, you and four bloggers still care about that.

I'm sure that, throughout the course of your life, you've never combined a statement you meant to make with something else you were thinking of, like trying to say "Good" and "Great" at the same time, and it comes out "goort" or something, and people shoot you funny looks. And then they get over it. He'd been to 47. There are 50. Out comes "I've now been in fifty... seven states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

These people have an over-inflated sense of self-importance, I think...

Right. A four minute piece during a morning news show during a presidential election is the same thing as a one minute piece during a night opinion show during a primary.

Exactly the same. No differences whatsoever.

2012-06-01 10:13:00 AM
Some might argue that the video is shorter in length (it's a little over one-minute) and far less savage with its subject

It was bad enough to spook fox execs, so much so that they immediately hung everyone associated out to dry. Why try to defend what even they won't?

I love how Conservatives just assume that Liberals are as addicted and loyal to MSNBC as Conservatives are to Fox.

/does anyone even watch MSNBC?

2012-06-01 10:16:24 AM
I see both channels as opposite. One one side you have MSNBC whose programs regularly invite opposing viewpoints. For example, Michael Steele is on quite a bit. Thus it can be assumed that Fox regularly has Howard Dean on. Oh. I see they have an Obama impersonator and they are pretending to debate him. Yep. They are pretty much two sides of the same coin.

MSNBC does need to tell some of their pundits to cool it. That Lawrence O'Donnel (is that how you spell it?) fellow is just acerbic, and he doesn't have the journalistic chops Maddow does. He just comes off like an asshole, and that kinda thing is going to get the compared unfavorably to Fox.

this is one of the most ubiquitous GOP comebacks I see/hear.
If you imply that FOX is the propaganda wing of the GOP the automatic comeback isn't, "no it's not", almost universally the reply is something along the lines of, "but, MSNBC"....and then something implying you're on government assistance and just woke from an afternoon nap.

/not an MSNBC fan, it's a tabloid during the day and just annoying at night.
//BBC is good
///CNN is a tabloid most of the time
////FOX is so horrible I...it's just...it's bad.

Once again Fox proves themselves to be Fair and Balanced.
The left thinks balanced is all 0bama, all the time which is why they don't like a real balance.

It explains why they have the ratings they do while CNN and MSNBC are dying.

low bar there.

did you see Maddow during the 2010 midterm election coverage? oh, yeah, high quality journalistic chops on display there.

2012-06-01 10:21:52 AM
So, it's OK for Fox News to do something if MSNBC did something similar?

Imagine that defense in any other situation...

TED BUNDY: "Sure, I killed all those women...but John Wayne Gacy killed a lot of boys, so it's cool."

They love their propaganda so much, they can't understand that other people just can't stomach it in any form.

I get this crap all the time.

"OH YEAH?! WELL WHAT DOES YOUR BOYFRIEND MADDOW THINK?"

"I've never watched Maddow, I don't care for cable news."

"DID BILL MAHER TELL YOU TO SAY THAT?!"

"I can't stand Bill Maher, he's never been funny."

"DON'T TREAD ON ME, LIB"

That's where I was going with the splinter and log thing. This is how Romney is going to conduct his campaign. He's been doing it for awhile now.

Romney gets a posse to hold down a kid and cut his hair off in high school. Obama pushed a girl in elementary school. TOTALLY THE SAME SO IT'S ALL OK.

Romney straps a dog to his car roof and the dog proceeds to shiat terror induced diarrhea down the car. Obama possibly and unwittingly ate dog in foreign country where the practice is common when he was 10. TOTALLY THE SAME SO IT'S ALL OK.

Dumb.
