To these idiots, CNN is just one more part of the liberal conspiracy machine.

Exactly.

Team GOP is in it to win. The Team GOP fan base sees reason why their team was prevented from winning. Nothing more.

Eeyup.

At this point birtherism is a non-epistemic claim. It can neither be proved nor defeated by sense data. No point of fact will turn someone away from it. Any point of fact can support it.

Released a birth certificate? It's not the full certificate.
Released the full certificate? It's fake.
Statement from the Hawai'i department of vital statistics? They're in on it.
Promotional pamphlet by someone who didn't know the facts claims he was born in Kenya? OMG ITZ ALL TROO!

Non-empirical claim, I meant.

Always get those two confused...

I've mentioned this before, but I know a math professor at NYU who got his PhD at UH. He was friends with Barack Sr. -- in fact he remembers him quite clearly because he was the only black guy at UH -- and was invited to his house to see his child right after he was born.

Wow, Barack Sr. invited this guy all the way to Kenya?

These idiots STILL won't believe that Obama is eligible for the presidency.

These people piss me off to no end. This is unabashed ignorance, and they flaunt it proudly.

If I wanted to see this, and a bunch of libtards making fun of it, I'd go to the politics tab.

Why is this here? Jeeeesh.

Purify this tab, farkmods

That was surprisingly thorough and factual. Though others may find it unconvincing, it's good enough for me.

Would Obama's supporters even care if, devils advocate, he WAS born elsewhere?

I think no.

/don't give a shiat either way

It wouldn't matter. It does not matter if he was born on the moon. His mother was a US citizen and he never renounced his US citizenship. He's eligible to be president. Period. Stop being stupid.

Once someone goes birther, just let'em go man. They're gone.

Silly subby. You thought birtherism was driven by facts and reason?

Am I the only one who, when clicking the link, saw a video of a valedictorian talking about the separation of church and state?

Neat vid, but I have a feeling it wasn't the intended one.

Mr Bush may not have been a good politician, but he is a funny guy.

Yeah, I don't think the Bush's little speech at the White House about putting their portraits up was what was intended here... Thanks, CNN floating URLs.

The Maricopa Count Sheriff's Office provided a lengthy video detailing how the Birth Certificate released by the White House, and the Selective Services Card, were frauds.

I expected This "takedown" to address evidence presented in that investigation.

nope.

As far as takedowns go this fails.

The linked video is from spring 2011, so that would have been exceptionally difficult to put together.

I had that problem too. It's because subby didn't submit the link for the specific video, but for the generic CNN videos page

here what should be a direct link

Good point. Clearly this is all a massive conspiracy! CLEARLY!

Agreed. The Maricopa presentation was very compelling. However, a certain baseline intelligence is necessary in order to grasp the significance of the subtleties and nuances that they highlighted as clear evidence of the fraud. Most of the "anti-birthers" are either incapable of appreciating these details, or unwilling to address them, and therefore must resort to juvenile name-calling and other such silliness.

The fact is, you can call it a "conspiracy theory" if you'd like, but it is a theory supported by well-researched evidence and numerous smoking guns. Not all conspiracy theories are wrong, you know.

Until you can provide me the time machine to prove that Obama's supporters went back in time to place a birth notice in the local news paper, then I will call you out on your bullshiat

OH! I get it! Because there's no such thing as a time machine, so you have proven your case beyond a shadow of a doubt! Nice work there.

Okay. Let's suppose the newspaper birth notice is indeed a reliable proof that Obama was born in Hawaii. (Actually, it is not, at all; see this as an example of a good treatment of this topic - but let's just imagine that it does. Because after all, newspapers are *always* reliable sources of accurate information. Why, just ask President Dewey.)

Even if that was the case, it would do nothing to explain why so very many (if not all) of the *important* documents produced as evidence of Obama's purported U.S. birth have been conclusively shown to be outright forgeries.

Where there's smoke, there's fire . . . . and this case has got more smoke than Obama's dear Choomwagon. So I ask you, if he was indeed born in Hawaii, why all the obfuscation and forging of documents?
