My point was the real reason that the Poles get upset about "Polish Death Camps" is because they're trying to make people forget that there really were ones run by Poles. The Germans couldn't have run the death camps there without the assistance of the Poles.

Yep, allowing those baby boomers to collect Social Security and use Medicare was a big mistake. And many of the people who point to that statistic are themselves receiving Social Security and/or Medicare, but do not consider themselves to be "receiving Federal assistance". In other words, they do not know that they are part of the 50% they are complaining about. I will agree with one thing, though--if we elect a bunch of Republicans in November, they will greatly reduce the number of people receiving Medicare and Social Security. Possibly all the way to zero.

The Nazis killed nearly 3 million non-Jewish Poles during the course of the war. The vast majority of them were civilians and where not killed in actual war fighting (the invasion was over after five weeks). So, when people ask why Poles didn't stop the German genocide, they're kind of missing the point. The Poles were second on the victim list and were being killed with almost as much gusto.
