Okay, which modmin is responsible for greenlighting a Townhall link? You should be ashamed of yourself.

2012-05-30 08:26:19 AM
Which tax increases?

Oh right, the imaginary ones.

2012-05-30 08:27:18 AM
Obama is the incompetent, do-nothing control freak bent on controlling our lives, apparently.

2012-05-30 08:28:30 AM
Because the tax breaks and giveaways were so intrinsic to staving off the collapse that Bush saved us from?

Yep - just like the imaginary gov't control.

Guessing the sad tag is for Townhall.

Is this in addition to being a socialist and double sekrit mooslin?

...or was he also a fascist. I can never get my labels straight for this guy. Perhaps the townies would like to enlighten us.

So at what point do the Republicans release a sobg that goes "Farking economies, how do they work?".

WE GOT NOTHIN'!

/but they just can't STFU

Good article. However, he missed the part where Obama spent a year cramming a bloated and unsustainable welfare program down the throats of the American people when he should have been doing something about the economy.

Yes, the GDP has been rising and he hasn't done anything about it at all.

2012-05-30 08:42:25 AM
So what do we call the Bush/Obama tax cuts?

2012-05-30 08:43:25 AM

BillCo: spent a year

I thought the Republican talking point that it was implemented too fast for them to read. Are you suggesting instead that he was actually too slow about it?

You're clearly overestimating the average reading abilities of Congressional Republicans.

I fail to see the problem. Aren't 'merikuns used to cramming bloated things down their throats as part of their daily overeating habits?
Have a dozen sandwiches and calm down.

The scary thing is the headline probably makes more sense than the article despite making no sense at all.

When I hear conservatives whine about "governmental control" the way I translate that is "we won't be able to screw over people like we want! Wahhhhhhh!!!" and "we can't mess up the environment the way we want! Wahhhhhhh!!!"

extremely accurate translation

Republicans are self centered myopic pond scum sucking at the dry teets of their corporate overlords hoping that one of the corporationos will piss on them and call it rain.

There's a simple solution to this, if Obama is Master Troll enough to pull it off. He can lock up the GOP noise machine with one sentence.

"We need to return tax rates to what they were under Reagan."

2012-05-30 09:59:44 AM
Meanwhile, Republican governor Bob McDonnell proposed using Predator drones to monitor civilian populations in the US.

But that's not a control freak kind of thing to do at all.

2012-05-30 10:00:29 AM
Actually, seems like it's the GOP that's actively and gleefully working to make the economy fail to bolster their chances in November...

...And that's one of the reasons I will never vote for another GOP politician again.

fark these people and their supporters.

I like this, but the repubs would be all over that it would raise taxes on middle class/lower class as well.

The way to counteract that is to have an actual plan of what you're going to use those taxes for. But that would mean committing to Ana actual course of action which politicians in general don t like doing.

SilentStrider: So at what point do the Republicans release a sobg that goes "Farking economies, how do they work?".

Most Democrats and Republicans can't tell you, at a fundamental level, how a free market economy works, much less explain what Keynesian economics is and the Classical objections to it are.

Case in point. Just what Obama was supposed to do escapes me, and I'm a supply-side conservative.

THIS

Meanwhile they're the ones shoving mandatory ultrasounds up our collective hoohaws, and yet if the Democrats somehow passed a bill that outlawed such draconian procedures they GOP would be yelling about "big government" overreach...

So STFU!!!

No no no, Fark wants us all to be trolled. Trolling is against the posting guidelines, it is only acceptable for conservative headlines, articles and a few derptarded conservative forum trolls. Gotta generate those clicks somehow but not just devolve into 100% derp.

aside from the tobacco tax, the mandate (the fee that's not a tax but is a tax) and increasing the floor on medical expense deductions from 7.5% to 10% of income, he has not directly raised taxes on people making under $200/250k a year. A few of the new taxes/reduced deductions are set to start Jan 1

Oh boy, a conservative link. Abandon your brain at the door, because if you don't agree 100% with their poorly written and researched tripe, than you're the enemy.

Yawn. Who cares? The same trolls in the room will act like trolls and everybody else will refute their points with good evidence only to be ignored with more trolling. I'm gonna go read the Anne Hathaway thread.

The GOP is pushing spy drones for domestic use, but it's Fartbongo's health care taxes that threaten our freedom. Right.
