Forget the police. Can't wait to see how Stand Your Ground and Journalists come into play.

So glad I moved off the island.

Note to press: Stand well back when the shooting starts. Because it will. God will know his own, but it's better to just not be in a position to receive your eternal judgement.

I'm sure the journalists will get in fine, so long as they stick to infiltration by responding to Tampa m4m ads on Craigslist.

I'm sure they'll be shown the same respect that the OWS people were shown in Oakland.

Kinda sad that Breitbart is dead. Only because this seems like a great opportunity for him to trounce his own reputation further.

It's Florida. This won't end well. I think being smart enough to write is illegal there, let alone being smart enough to write news stories.

The Dems in Charlotte will probably be where the mess is. With, that and the Ocuppy hippies and other imported commies.

It's gonna be popcorn time.

Modern reporters are whores
they expect some rough treatment at times as the cost of doing business

so long as the money is good
they'll still be on the corner

I am sure that the reporters and police will get along better than what happened in chicago. This should be a no brainer. If you are near a protest in a Dailey controlled city... you are going to get a beatdown. Strangely I never heard about any police beatdowns with the NATO summit a few days ago.

2) Say inflammatory baseless remarks
3) Double down on his remarks when sober
4) Wash, rinse, repeat

You sound sincerely committed to that concern troll statement.

This. Did Subby even bother to RTFA?

It's funny that the GOP is meeting in the center of the Scientologist world to back a Mormon to run for their Christian party.

People are going to die during the convention. Because a)it's Florida and b) it's going to be 100 degrees with 100% humidity.

I hope the RNC does not pass up the opportunity to set the world record for largest Mexican Standoff in history. I also think at least one OWL protestor is going to be an @ss and start something with a tea partier and get shot.

The GOP just needs to go full bigot. They can't win moderates now, all they can do is hope all the white trash morons in their party vote. I propose a Birther Symposium at the RNC Convention, with featured speakers Donald Trump, Orly Taitz and Joe Arpaio.

You also don't know what city or state the 2008 Republican Convention was held in. But do go on with your valuable, learned opinion on the matter.

Yeah. And Geraldo should be there to hug them and accept their apologies for breaking his nose so many years ago. And then he can comment about how their "hoodies" are the right(white) kind.

Being from Peoria, IL, I would have guessed you would have known that the RNC wasn't in Chicago in 2008. But then, I expect too much out of my trolls.

Don't worry, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I just thought that guy had a bigger grave to dig before he eventually got in it. If he wasn't cremated, one day I'll find his grave and take a Taco Tuesday shiat all over it.

"Jane Kirtley, a journalism professor at the University of Minnesota, said the biggest problem in 2008 was a lack of training."

Well, how about training those journalists better? That's your job, right?

Rule Number One: Wear your credentials, and don't stand in the middle of a mob of unruly protesters for six hours just to get some "street cred."

Rule Number Two: When you see a bunch of cops coming towards you, move off to one side and try to look like a professional reporter instead of like a protester with a slightly nicer camera.

Rule Number Three: If you see four hundred protesters and twenty journalists on one side of the street, and one hundred cops and zero reporters on the other, you're missing at least one side of the story.

First off, it's Daley, get your dictatorial mayors names' right. Second, where do you think the RNC was held in 2008? Because I can assure it wasn't in Chicago. I think I would have noticed as I pay attention to politics to the point of having a ticket to the Grant Park event in 2008 for the other guy, that also didn't involve any police beat-downs.

2012-05-30 11:51:32 AM
This is going to be an interesting location for protesting. The convention center sits on the water and the plaza out front isn't all that large. That being said, a flotilla of protesters would be cool.

Did you sleep through that week, or were you just out of communication?

Try something like "nato summit police beating" on Google to catch up to events, okay?

Peoria and Chicago are so far apart distance wise and in mentality, they may as well be in different states. Peoria is a bunch of hillbillies that hate how the liberals in Chicago let them blackies walk around like they own the place.

Fair enough, but I usually have a clue what's going on within 3 hours of my location, especially if it's in my own state and it's on the national stage (or in this case, NOT on the national stage.

Aren't they usually the ones speaking at the Republican convention?

Seriously. Pack a convention center in the sweltering heat of a Florida summer, with a strong showing of birthers, RONPAULites, and Dittoheads, all of whom are allowed to carry guns...what could go wrong?

Please do the show remotely, Jon.
