Doc is perhaps the most influential steel-string acoustic guitar player of all time. He was never a household name, but he was a "musician's musician," the audiences at his concerts invariably peppered with other players. His records are fine, but he really was a performer that you needed to see--as close to "authentic" as you could ever expect to find. "Doc Watson" has been the number one search term on Google most of today (bath salts number two!) and his death was noted on the front page of The New York Times.

If you have not heard this CD or seen the DVD, you are missing out on an outstanding show.

The DVD is better, has all of the banter between them. It's just the three of them on stage playing their favorites, Alison Krauss even makes an appearance.
