FTA: "Choset has also built larger snake robots designed for search and rescue, or just exploration. They can climb poles or trees and then look around through a camera in the head, and slither through places humans can't reach."

So the robot pictures is one of the larger snake robots.

Looks like you're right. I think the bottom image in this article may be the endobot they're talking about.

Some real quality journalism there, though, to make you guess about which robot is in the picture.

My cat is named Tiny Dinosaur, but we usually call him Tiny.
For a housecat, he's not tiny at all. He's like 17 lbs.
Maybe the robots are named "Tiny" like, ironically. Maybe they're hipster-bots.

The tiny J-Lo robot in my colon won't like this at all!

Yeah, I had the same problem when I read the article on a different site this morning. So, the article is mainly about tiny robots used for surgery, but the author publishes pics of the larger robots that only garnered a brief mention in the article? Journalism failure indeed!

The wars of the future will not be fought on the battlefield or at sea. They will be fought in space, or possibly on top of a very tall mountain. In either case, most of the actual fighting will be done by small robots. And as you go forth today remember always your duty is clear: To build and maintain those robots. Thank you.

"It won't be very long before we have robots that are nanobots, meaning they will actually be inside the body without tethers," said Dr. Michael Argenziano, the Chief of Adult Cardiac Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center in New York.

That's not what a nanobot is.
