Maybe he didn't see the pedestrian clearly, since he wasn't wearing his VISOR.

I hope the cops are thoroighly investigating this. I mean, You can't take his word for it.

Hehe. Levar Burton seems like he would be a decent guy, and handled the situation with class. Geordi was a stuck-up little prick though.

he stopped suddenly ... causing the cop car to hit him from behind.

Sounds like a failure to maintain distance to me.

Funny how he's wearing a Reading Rainbow shirt. I wonder if he wears that to spark conversations or so he doesn't get harassed for his race, or just because it's a nice shirt.

and now I have that tune stuck in my head.

not even the song.. just the weird 80s synth wind sounding thing in the beginning and end.. what IS that??

The officer should have just called him toby and let him go on his way.

From the look of where he stopped in the pic in TFA he can also be cited for obstructing traffic. Besides, municipal immunity gives the officers a good deal of leeway.

Without that Reading Rainbow shirt, people would be calling him "Toby".

Hell, every big problem he ever had was solved by either: a hologram that he wanted to bang, Data - who secretly he wanted to bang, Wesley - see Data, or Barcally - Who just got shiat done.

Laforge is a pussy.

Put Geordi's brain in Data's body, and Data's brain in Geordi's body.

EVERYBODY WINS!

Toss both into the warp core and get some less-annoying crew members.

Geordi is getting some bad rap here. He reminded me of every engineer I ever knew (which includes my Dad, my brother-in-law, and my sister), smart people who have an instinctual need to solve problems, but a bit socially awkard. Very confident and cool in their own crowd, bit of a dork outside it.

Weird story, bro: Every time I consciously wipe "crust" from my eyes, I think of LeVar Burton. There was some segment on Reading Rainbow that he did ages ago that involved telling kids about getting up and ready for the morning. The first part, with narration, had him getting out of bed and wiping the gunk/crust out of his eyes.

He suddenly changed speeds, confusing and then disabling his opponent?

Great headline, subby. For once, made up lyrics that actually scan properly with the original!

He is a smart guy. I bet Levar noticed the cop car real close, slammed on the breaks to make them hit him. Then the Pap showed up quickly.

The cops would have been looking like bigger asses if they hadn't let him go.
