I remember going to elementry school in the 70's, and they would be what were known at that time as 'negro spirituals', maybe there is a more better term for that now, I don't know.

I still thing back to the time when a whole bunch of mostly white kids will talking about 'dying with a hammer in my hand', or 'beating their feet in the mississipi mud'. I am sure there were more.

I do look back and would swear that the teacher at the time looked at it with the same questioning reality check that I do now.

"Notorious" by Duran Duran cures me of ear worms. No idea why, or how I stumbled onto this cure-all.

There's one exception though: The Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority song. That damn thing has been stuck in a little corner of my head for over 20 years. If you ever meet a Kappa, whatever you do, don't let her sing you that song.

Most likely the former, however aggressive music can alter your mood which still makes it the former. Your personality changed to you were less uppity and prefered mellow music. Back when Marilyn Manson was the super evil spawn of satan that the right was thinking he was, it wasn't the fact that his music would make people "destructive" it was the question of why are they listening to him in the first place. He was a symptom not the cause.
/not saying that you must be disturbed to listen to him, just saying there is a reason you like him (for good or for bad).
