Although I would cut it just as he hits the rock before he slides off, so it's just one stream of falling into rock, falling into rock, falling into rock.

But one of Tony's best.

There is so much fail in that five seconds, I don't even know where to start....

csb...
A thousand years ago when I was that age we had a train trestle to jump off into an alarmingly shallow narrows. Probably a 10M jump (3 storys or about 32 feet), had to time it with the boat traffic and the trains, and only about 8 feet of water, in the middle of the 20 foot channel...landed about 6 inches off a boat that was going way too fast once. Had they been going a click slower, I would have either landed on or gone through the boat...

I'm not and haven't heard anyone saying anything, but it wouldn't hurt to post a farkback. There was a short-lived issue yesterday in some of the redlit threads where we were getting two comment boxes.

Why would anyone think this location would be a bad ass spot to jump from? Intelligence doesn't seem to be the on the mind of anyone in this group. He also seemed to have the clear intention to dive into a lake, which is as smart as deciding to swim in a lake of coal waste. You shouldn't do either as both will have an effect on your brain in not so fun, but fun ways :)?

Not a problem. Hopefully it's just a minor glitch that can be easily fixed.

His friends seemed jump in after him to help. That was noble, but Darwin wouldn't approve.

Then again, given the number of people that drown trying to rescue people in water, maybe Darwin could have a 2-fer or a 3-fer.

Which was it? 10M, 3 stories or 32 feet?

The human body becomes incredibly elastic if you hit it hard enough.

Humans bounce if they hit the ground hard enough.

/Even that has a limit, if we hit at Ludicrous Speed, we just splat.

(In other news, we appear to be heading into day TWO of passwords not working)

Step 1: Find something stupid to do
Step 2: Fail at it

Having spent the last 8 days guiding a group of Norwegians in BC's north... I'm sure this kid laughed, got up and tried the jump again.. and the rock probably received more damage than he did. Those Scandinavians are tough bastards!

Oh God..... the sound... SNAP... CRACK..... Made me frigging nauseous. I thought I was desensitized but unlike bones breaking in a movie, you know a foley artist isn't making that sound.

Oh, dammit. I hadn't even noticed the sound of his bones cracking. Went back to watch it again and now I wish I hadn't.

Are you saying all lakes are horribly polluted and we should all fear water?
Or that you can't dive into lakes, because none of them are deep enough for diving?

Nah, its like learning to fly is just falling and missing the ground. Bouncing off the ground is falling and getting surprised late enough that you actually do hit the ground, but you are too distracted to remember that people don't bounce.

To think, he was THIS close to flying.

Duuuuuuude..... you ok?

Being a paraplegic or quadriplegic is no way to spend one's prime adulthood.

/be careful out there.
