The Dutch say: "I want my bike back". Perhaps too obscure, unless you are Dutch.

I have no problem with chicks getting it on with chicks for mens titillation and amusement but chicks getting married to chicks is taking it a bit to far.

I call BS on the story.

The herring river is probably only a few feet wide in most places, I know since my family comes from Cape Cod. Why didn't she get it back forty years ago? And yes the Cape is Disneyland for gays, NTTAWWT.

Unless it is some kinda collecters thing a 40 year old bike is pretty much trash. Mayby they replaced the tires, tubes, rims, spokes, seat, handgrips, chain, frame and fenders, and at 40 years it isn't real collectable. I'll sell you my '82 Schwinn, it might be worth somethin someday. It's 531 with Campy parts.

Why are they trying to make 1970 sound like a long time ago??
It was practically just the other day.

"When I finally walked up to the bike ... I was like, 'Wow! That's my bike! I know that's my bike!'" Brown told the news source. "It was like finding a long lost friend."
And having hot lesbian sex with her?

Silence! Elsewise, I shall ask you to leave my lawn! Even if it requires the use of this firearm which I purchased by mail order from Sears Roebuck & Co.

why the bike was not retrieved in 1970 is a mystery of scooby-doo proportion. she knew where the bike was. perhaps she lied. said it was stolen. claimed she was held kidnapped held hostage. used that gottdam bicycle to extort $250 dollar from her own poor mother. there's mom crying her eyes out, she just wants her baby back oh my gott oh my gott. clever little biatch. she comes home $250 richer, 'rents buy her a new bicycle, but the truth...is stuck in the mud.

Repo Man: Back in '83, when I was 17, I managed to scrape enough money together to buy one of these (this is the slightly different '84 model, but very nearly the same):

Centurion Turbo.

Is that a shifter on the downtube?

Yes, that's where they were then. That's where some weight weenies still run them, as they are significantly lighter than STI levers.

I only had it from February to early May, when I took a corner too fast, and hit an oncoming car. I dislocated my shoulder, and put some dents in the guys car (homeowner's insurance covered that thankfully) and completely destroyed my bike. It was as though I'd lost a loved one.

I have nicer bicycles than that now, but if I found a deal on one on Ebay, I'd probably buy it.

I had an Echo, Rolls, and Motobecane 10 speeds. Mostly all 17 pound racing bikes that flew.
I never had a problem keeping up with, or passing most traffic.
Even on state roads, it was faster than driving.

Three of my four bikes are BMX. The last one has a grip shift three speed, so yeah, not that type of weight weenie.

There's something fishy about this story, I just can't put my finger on it.
