If this guy's medium was anything else he wouldn't even rate a hack.

But lets do a story about him because he uses dust!

Face it: all portraits of Steve McQueen should be made in dirt.

I once saw a Hummer that had "DICK" scratched in the paint on all four doors, the hood and the tailgate. Totally unsimilar to this artist, but I wanted to share.

Seems unnecessary. You could tell the driver was a dick because he drove a Hummer.

I certainly enjoyed the novelty of it. Traditional art mediums are in a bad place. It's been done, and done better than you by other people and long dead people. You go to art school to learn to emulate the long dead and infinitely better than you.

The scene gets stale and we're introduced to entirely new concepts that typically don't mean a damn to the average viewer. Thus we end up with paintings of a single colored square worth tens of millions of dollars.

This guy saw a medium that hadn't really been used before and one that is particularly unforgiving and drew the things he like where people could see them and recognize what he was doing.

So he may never be studied, and his name will be forgotten, but at least he got to do what he wanted and a hell of a lot more people may passingly enjoy seeing his work, rather than the piles of art that you'd have to take half a dozen university classes to even properly feign interest.

Apart from the obvious style differences, this "urban art" doesn't cause hundreds of dollars of damage every time it's created.

If you treated your car with the respect it deserves & kept it clean
AT ALL TIMES you would not have this problem, if it happened to you.

Ha! Reminds me of the time I was riding my horse and came across people screwing alongside a lightly traveled road. She was bent over the hood just like that. In retrospect I wish I had just ridden by, saying "hello" as I went on my way. Instead, I saw them, then backed off a bit and made some noise so that they could take off.
