Subby's Mom must be distraught over losing the record.

The idea of walking around barefoot in a land of Lego sounds painful. That stated they gave the first 400 a free admittance and a beach ball, though with that toss up I can imagine it might be tough reclaiming your ball. (Reminds me of a guy who ran around collecting graduation caps.)

A silly record anyways.

Add Sasha Grey, edit the record to read: "most number of balls in the air mouth" and you have a winner.

Dumb, huh?

You're reading about it because it was picked up by the media. Someone posted it here. Now it's worldwide. Legoland gets global awareness of its opening and advertising for free.

Not dumb.

That's

the dumbest stunt. I can't imagine the pandemonium. Not to mention what the 401st person is going to do.

Legos are nto toys! They are the building blocks of life! And when the smoking hot girl sitting behind you in Fifth Grade Biology class does not even know you are alive, Legos bring a sani-

Yeah, floating down the lazy river could get fairly exciting if you are 401 and you tube bump into 400.

I can't wait to go. I have a season pass and we'll be visiting the park the weekend after the fourth of July. Can't wait!

The little ones hurt way more than the big ones when stepped on.

Wow that sounds exciting. Maybe even better than American Idol or going shopping.

Most beach balls in the air at one time? Somebody actually cares?

I'm going for the world's record of flicking my finger like this 300 times-in-a-row. Gonna be so famous I'll get my own Fark thread.

I was hoping the actual record would be lego related

something like the most lego creations built, largest lego sculpture, etc

I'm sure they'll be doing something like that in the future. From TFA, the beach ball shenanigans were to celebrate the opening of their water attractions.

I was in Tampa in January with my girlfriend. We decided to take a day and head over to LegoLand to check it out, since I'm kind of a Lego dork. I wasn't very impressed. Would have been awesome if we had kids, though.

I am excited to take my son. He's at the age where he 'gets' that Duplo don't just go in your mouth. It's great to watch him put it together, literally and developmentally.

I would self-identify as LEGO-obsessed.

We are heading down to Florida in a few weeks. My wife and I asked our kids where they want to go and Legoland easily beat out Disney.

Just went this past Sunday with my wife, definitely geared for kids. Also, two rides were off and on all day and the park was only half full. I believe the water park will add a better dimension. Also, why no beer? I was impressed with "healthy" food options for the kids though.

6 / 10 because I love Lego

Disney sucks, its stuck in the 70's - 80's. BUT you can get a full day out of it; LegoLand without the water park can be finished off in about 4 hours.

One last LegoLand point - tickets are mighty pricey. Go to Islands of Adventure for the same price, or Sea World.

/ thankful I got tickets for Christmas.

Was one of the 400 yesterday; didn't hear of or see any tumultuous temper tantrums ensue.

/Waterpark's pretty decent
//Overall park was very impressive, never saw a crying kid once... THERE'S your real record.

From an article about WWI: In World War One, Winston Churchill suggested dropping "flying columns" to destroy enemy bridges, factories and sabotage communications. An American officer, Colonel 'Billy' Mitchell, devised a plan to actually drop troops by parachute from a British Handley-Page bomber onto the city of Metz. It was cancelled because the Armistice was signed.

Between the wars, all the world's military powers toyed with the idea of airborne operations. The Russians took an early lead in this field. In 1936, 1,200 men in the Red Army, parachuted during manoeuvres near Kiev. The watching foreign military attaches were suitably impressed. The Russians called these troops 'locust warriors'. Ironically, despite their pre-war lead in this field, the Russians barely used paratroopers in World War Two. Men destined to lead Russian partisan groups were dropped behind German lines.

That's 2400 balls in the air. Suck it Legoland!

You'll have a blast, I'm sure. We weren't too impressed only because the rides are geared for kids. The displays are wicked awesome though, especially the scale version of Vegas, and the mindstorm and build and test areas were really cool. We went to Busch Gardens the day before we hit up LegoLand, so I got my fix of thrill rides as well as Lego dorkiness all in one weekend. It was a good trip all around, and I'm glad we went to LegoLand. Another thing to scratch off my bucket list.

^ The Aqua Zone Wave Racers kick a surprising amount of ass, as well. Basically turns from Dumbo ride to NASA centrifuge when you let the wheel go.
