This is why I get all pissy about the way that Jerry Sandusky is being treated. He has already been convicted and sentenced by the court of popular opinion. Same thing probably happened to this dude. In this world of media at our finger tips we are too ready to judge people simply by the accusations of others.

Sandusky's case has a third party eye witness to shower rape of a ten year old. And a string of accusers. Not quite the same thing.

It's a matter of principle. Until one has been convicted of a crime then one should have the benefit of the doubt. Remember how that Duke case turned out? Nancy Grace wanted (in spirit) a public execution.

So I assume that you must concede that OJ Simpson and the Rodney King cops are conclusively innocent and it would be wrong to publicly suggest otherwise.

Oh, ffs

I am just saying that we should lead with caution. What has been said cannot be unsaid. This man had his life taken from him, and it does not matter how many times the girl said she lied, there will always be a lingering doubt upon that. There is no way this man can ever repair what has happened to him

He needs to sue that biatch and take anything she has or ever will have to her name. Write a book, go on Ellen, Dr Phil, and the ilk, sell it and make something out of this.

Yep.

She should have to serve every day of the sentence he would have had to serve, plus more for the added charges of perjury and whatever else can be thrown her way.

FTFY. She also should probably pay back the $1.5 million civil suit she was awarded from her school district. I'd say she owes him at least that much for farking up his NFL career too, but you can't squeeze blood from a stone...

And every paycheck she makes for the rest of her life should be garnished, with half going to the state to pay back the judgement, and half going to Banks to make up in some microscopic amount for the shiat that she did to him.

And her face should be plastered in just as many places as his was, with the label "Falsely accused man of rape", just like the man she falsely accused was labeled a rapist.

Yeah, seriously. This needs to count as abuse too. She got 1.5 million dollars and he lost his career.

People like Wanetta Gibson have no place in decent society. There are women who are raped in this country every single day that have to defend their integrity because stories like this come out and prove that some coonts will lie about being raped. That's not right, and that's not fair.

Before any legal charges are brought against the accuser, her motivation should be examined. If it was pure greed then hell yeah, lock away the key. She may be a little confused in her head, and medication and therapy would be the best course of action for her.

/this is coming from someone who believes rehabilitation is a crock of shiat

She had ten years to fess up and the best she could do was "I will go through with helping you, but it's like at the same time all that money they gave us, I mean gave me, I don't want to have to pay it back"

Fark her. Her motivations early on might have been confused but all she saw for many years was dollar signs.

I HATE women who do shiat like this. It makes it much more difficult for REAL rape victims to get justice.

She and her greedy mother should be forced to pay back every cent they made, plus interest, from putting this guy through hell.

Simple rule: if you accuse someone of crime X falsely, crime X is inflicted on you by the state.

If you say Bob raped you, and you lied, the state sends you to the sexecutioner.

Now, if you accused Bob of murder...

2012-05-24 10:46:37 PM
I bet there's a followup in a few days that the state compensation for a wrongful conviction is either WAY less than the $1.5m she got, or that it's entirely contested because he pleaded no contest.

How can this be? Feminists told me that false rape accusations were a just myth created by the patriarchy.

He gets all her money.
He's allowed to rape her at any time for the rest of his life.

That's why I only have sex with people I've known for a long time. If she regrets having sex with you the morning after, what's to stop her from falsely accusing you of rape? Nothing. Anything you do will be construed as coerced because you are a man, even more so if you're physically intimidating.

This girl needs to be prosecuted, but never will. I don' get it. The worst was a story I read about years ago where twin bros were falsely convicted of rape and went to prison as teenagers and were set free in their 60's when the false accuser finally felt guilty enough to say she lied. She never faced any charges. WTF?

at 15 it may have been all her, making an error. obviously as it ramped up to that poor s.o.b. going to court she should have done the right thing. by the time a lawyer & the civil suit was involved and the lawyer starts talking $$$ she jumped from liar biatch to liar biatch cash-in thief.

going thru life the Japanese way rarely works out well. magical thinking born of lies and deceit are simply that and nothing more. pretend lies are truth all you want, it does not make it so.

screw her. i hope her life becomes hell for what she did to that young man. damn farking shame is what it is.

Every derogatory word for a female can and should be applied to this twunt. For this action she deserves no protection under law. It's people like her that enable those who are actually guilty to get off scot free.

He did the time, now he should do the crime? Part of me agrees but it ain't gonna happen.

Should she be brought up on fraud and perjury charges? Hell YES!

If he's still in shape, USC should reinstate his scholarship so that he can get a degree and carve out a life for himself somewhere.

Yeah, I love the fact that they're not going to prosecute her because she was a minor, when they had no problem prosecuting him as one.

I hope she faces some charges or something

2012-05-24 11:53:45 PM
I hope she's charged with making a false report and later sued for damages.

Maybe she was mentally unstable or something, maybe there is some deeper underlying reason behind what she did, but hey, that's what a fair trial is for. Something Banks never got, thanks to her. I reckon the least she should get in return is to have to run that particular gauntlet.

So many people are too scared to come forward about being raped, and every person who makes a false accusation only puts that back another ten years.

Five years is a lot of your best years to lose.

..and charged with Grand Larceny. She basically conned the school district out $1.5 million.

During an initial meeting with him, she said she had lied; there had been no kidnap and no rape and she offered to help him clear his record, court records state.

But she refused to repeat the story to prosecutors because she feared she would have to return a $1.5 million payment from a civil suit brought by her mother against Long Beach schools.

During a second meeting that was secretly videotaped, she told Banks, "`I will go through with helping you, but it's like at the same time all that money they gave us, I mean gave me, I don't want to have to pay it back,'" according to Freddie Parish, a defense investigator who was at the meeting.

I'm sitting on a balcony with the laptop - belly full and scotch in hand - a perfect 77 degree breeze wafting jasmine and honeysuckle through the air. Some older Miles Davis breathing through the headphones. In other words, until 3 minutes ago I was in a very relaxed, impossibly pleasant mood.

That was when I read this farking story.

I would not wish this treatment on the biggest douchebag I had ever met. This is just...this is just farking awful. At least he's still a young man and can at the very least be free.

There's a reason men rarely use the c-word. It's because we know that when it's deployed, it must be for the rarest of terrible human beings. If we used it as often as "b*tch," it would lose meaning. Well guess what, gentleman,

I'm invoking the c*nt clause.

I willing to bet there wasn't any mental problems with her. She lied so that she wouldn't get into trouble and to protect her reputation. She then stuck with the lie because it made her $1,5 million richer. She wasn't a 8 or 9 year old who didn't fully understand the consequences of her lie, she was 15 and knew what was going to happen to him and didn't care because she was looking out for herself.

2012-05-25 12:01:43 AM
IMO not only should he be able to sue her, but should be able to sue the state for his lost wages from the NFL. It if obvious they didn't have sufficient evidence to convict him if she farking lied about the whole thing.
