Posters and ads reminding women and minorities to vote in December are already at the presses.

unlikely: Posters and ads reminding women and minorities to vote in December are already at the presses.

GOP operations to prevent minorities and other democratic constituencies are already in the works in virtually all battleground states. Republicans know they can't win a fair fight, so they lie and cheat.

Just because women, before voting, are required to recite the firing order of cylinders in a 1969 Dodge Challenger, the names of the starting left tackle on the closest NFL team and the dialogue from the Three Stooges' "Ants in the Pantry" doesn't mean the process discriminates against women!

Prepare for the new version of the "Safety Moms" campaign. Somehow they gotta scam these broads into voting GOP despite birth control, equal pay act et al.

He's going to get his @ss handed to him because he has at one time held all of Obama's views. The difference is the GOP is currently an embarassment because they can't muzzle their teatards.

Q. What is the consanguinity of a person named Cletus if 6 out of his 8 great grandparents are related to each other?

Having spent significant time in Salt Lake City and with Mormon families I can assure you that women are RIGHT to fear Romney.

The way their women are treated seems nearly medieval to an "East Coast Libruhl" like me.

Most Mormon women have babies, make the sammiches, and are somewhere between men and children in the class hierarchy.

Republicans will respond by saying that polling all registered voters isn't accurate, because Democrats aren't as likely to vote, even though most Americans lean Democrat.

Yet somehow they also believe that every time Democrats try to do something, they are usurping power.

In a strange twist of fate, sluts vote.

2012-05-24 11:25:13 AM
People's opinions on Obama at this point are largely fixed, even among the politely called "low information voters". Opinions on Romney are highly malleable, but he'll need to capture 100% of the vote of people not already committed to Obama in order to even have a chance at winning, and that's nearly impossible.

Citrate1007: He's going to get his @ss handed to him because he has at one time held all of Obama's views. The difference is the GOP is currently an embarassment because they can't muzzle their teatards.

I keep saying that once he officially gets the nod, he should repudiate the GOP platform, re-embrace all his old views and actions, and run as the Liberal candidate in the race, attempting to get the center/left votes from Obama.

That said, at this point, Obama has to win OH, FL, and PA (or VA) while Romney has to not only win those states, he also had to pull several others away from Obama.

In other words, it's an uphill battle all the way for Mitt while it's Obama's election to lose, and it doesn't look like the man with his own 747 is going to rest on his laurels.

That is why there is Rasmussen. When polling is too left leaning, they get to artificially make things Fair and Balanced (thus negating the point of polling in the first place).

2012-05-24 11:26:38 AM
Just put in more state laws that restrict the right to vote to people the republicans are mad at currently. I mean, it seems to be working with the black folks who voted for Obama. There isn't any other actual reason for the recent string of "voting fraud prevention" laws.

Calling it right now: Florida (where else?) will introduce a state law that requires women to produce a strand of their prenatal umbilical chord or else they are ineligible to vote.

I may be wrong but I believe it was decided one of the reasons Al Gore lost to George Bush was young Democratic voters didn't bother to go vote. The Iraq war and the Afghan war followed.

SpectroBoy: Having spent significant time in Salt Lake City and with Mormon families I can assure you that women are RIGHT to fear Romney.

I'm no fan of the religion, but remember that Mitt's a moderate Mormon. He was (among other things) pro-choice until he had to run in this year's primary against that crew from the Tea Party.

Voters had nothing to do with it. Al Gore won the popular vote - which is the only vote IMHO that should really matter. But W's lawyers and throngs of conservative string pullers allowed the supreme court to rule in his favor.

Obama is looking a lot better out west than he is in the old, white people states. If he sweeps CO, NM, and NV, he doesn't have to win OH or FL. PA is a must win, though.

2012-05-24 11:32:29 AM
The GOP can't lose this year. If Romney wins it proves they were right and America is tired of Marxist policies in Washington instituted by a Kenyan Muslim. If Obama wins it means the greatest voter fraud in history.

No, it goes like this, astute one:

1) 40% of the time Libs attack the GOP, 35% of the time they defend Obama, and 25% of the time they shake their head at Obama for continuing Bush policies or dropping the ball when dealing with the GOP
2) 95% of the time the conservatives in here troll with lies, rumors and their uncle's FW: FW: FW: emails. The other 5% of the time we have like less than a half-dozen conservative handles debating with facts.

2012-05-24 11:35:39 AM
This election has never been and never will be hotly contested unless the economy takes a severe turn south or some other catastrophic thing happens. These articles, and the subsequent comment threads, really are just a waste of time.

coeyagi: debating with facts

*Looks around*

I don't see any debating going on here. Not one lick of policy discussion. The only "facts" in these threads are that some poll says X. We might as well be looking at the MLB power rankings on the Sports tab. This is pop culture politics.
