Chaka would be the first American Idol judge who can actually sing.

Jennifer Lopez is a vile, untalented slattern. Paula Abdul was a better dancer than singer. Steven Tyler can sing-scream with the best of them, but he personally breaks just about every rule Simon Cowell sets for what qualifies someone to get past an audition on that show.

Of course, the show is utter dog shiat designed to appeal to the mentally deficient anyway, so I have no concerns one way or another. I just like Chaka Khan.

Many years ago, I was watching a short documentary about an Earth Day rally in New York, or something like that. They were doing short interviews with some of the more noteworthy people on hand for the event and all of a sudden this cute girl comes on and says "Nuclear power sucks canal water!" With the canal water reference and the accent I said to myself: "She's from Chicago." Then a caption appeared that just said "Chaka Khan" (who is indeed from Chicago).

Good to hear she lost some weight. She was as big as a house for a while.

I think it's a toss up as to who is more self-absorbed: JLO or any of the Kardashians? KKs and JLO are high maintenance women to the tenth degree. I guess if attention whoring makes you millions it's worth it.

Gotta give JLO a little bit of an edge though because she didn't make a fark tape that went viral to make her millions.
