I was a mean little kid. When Etan disappeared, I was about eleven years old and saw the report on the television. His family's phone number was listed in the book, so about one o'clock in the morning, I called them up. I didn't say anything but just quietly sobbed into the phone. After about thirty seconds, I said, "Bye bye mommy," and hung up. I cracked up at the time, but as I got older I realized that it was wrong to do. To try to make ammends, I called back about fifteen years later and posed again as Etan. I told them I was fine but didn't want to see them again before quickly hanging up. I hope they felt better about the whole thing because I did.

The news also says the family still lives in the same building. Why would you stay there of your kid is abducted? Would you keep his room the same too?
