I'd completely forgotten about User Friendly until I saw this headline

/off to catch up with half a decade of stuff I missed.

Wow, that actually looks really awesome. Is it free, or $5000?

Wonder if they could add networking modules to that. I didn't see one listed in the guides.

Idra?
Machine?
Justin Wong?
Ricky Ortiz?

You need to be more specific subby.

/kinda obscure.

Want but 75 for a student and ~4k for an industry license.... Yep probably never going to get my hands on it.

Imagine if they also integrated biological and genetic modules into that...

That is for the evil genius's assistant. The evil genius conceives. The assistant builds.

Evil assistants are less evil but do most of the work. They make the magic happen. Why do you think Dr Doom is so angry? He has no good assistants.

I never knew my job was 'Evil Genius'. Definately going on the resume though.

Looks interesting. I remember when I had to model the equations by hand.

Not what I was expecting :( 2/10, would not take over world.

this looks very intersting, but does it have an input for the illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator!

A good tool will allow you to build up network equivalent modules. My first job for Lockheed Martin was designing an add on to a tool like this which would allow us to 'attach' a live network to a modelling tool.

All you need to do is understand the interface and develop the response equations if this tool lets you start from blank modules.

Any decent engineeting tool will allow for extension. If what you are doing is already in a commercial product as a template then the design is already done, find a COTS equivalent and save yourself design time.

Boeing has some pretty cool models for their aircraft, it is always fun to be able to prefict that the first fatigue failure will be at a specific screw hole and will need repair at the 750 mission mark.

You missed the point. It lets you evaluate what plan will work beforehand. So you don't waste time on your dreadtank because you have predicted that a flaw in the rad shielding will allow for it to be targetted with a modified amraam.

Do you know how tedious it is to keep up configuration control on the plan within a plan within a plan that I wanted to fail because you have been a pawn doing my bidding all along plan?

MS project also has issues with resource loading of clone body doubles. It almost scheduled ME for that explosion that must have killed him because no one could survive that. Man would my face have been red at the next EPM (Evil Program management) process symposium. I take pride in the fact that I haven't jumped on the whole scarred visage so he wears a mask bandwagon. Everyone thought DrVD was so cool with his mask and started getting scarred just as an excuse.

/He hates being called that. But you HAVE to look at your initials if you think you expect people to call you Dr.

So is this like minecraft on crack?

As someone who has no idea how to use this, it seems awesome. I just don't know how I could apply it to the world of graphic design & Podcasting.

The interface looks sweet.

$5000, if you're lucky.

Disappoint. Here I thought they were making a sequel to the rather enjoyable Evil Genius game.

That rings true given the sociopathy that is prevalent in engineering. Or maybe I am just projecting onto my fellow engineers.
