(Telegraph)   Greece could slip out of the Euro and we'd feel a little pressure, but it won't be painful if we do it right. Trust me   (telegraph.co.uk) divider line 21

Maybe it could be done right so there's little pain and it is manageable, but if there's one thing my short stint on this planet has taught me it's that if you want something done right then don't ask a government to do it, and more than that don't ask a coalition of many governments working by committee to do what's best.

We're boned.

Have the Germans invited Greece into the back of a Volkswagon?

Greece is in even worse shape - Germany (at the urging of several banking organizations) is pressuring Greece to stick with strict austerity measures by manipulating the financial situation to keep their government on track. meanwhile, greece itself has to deal with the results of those very unpopular measures and risks having their society disintegrate.

meanwhile, here in the US, the GOP is busy making sure women don't have access to affordable health care.

Right, because the Bundesbank has done a crackerjack job so far with its policy prescriptions for Greece, so we should all definitely believe this.

Exactly. To hell with Germany and their austerity. Austerity, shmausterity, right?

Greece should just continue to spend and provide generous benefits to public employees and pensioners. If they don't have the money to pay, just borrow more! I'm sure investors will be eager to provide as much cash as Greece needs at reasonable rates.

Well lets ask a different question who gave Greece all the money to begin with and continued to give them this money? And said take it just keep buying those good cars labeled "Made in Germany"

Germany has been enabling Greece for years to boost their exports. They share some of the blame.

Something has to change.
Un-deniable dilemma.
Boredom's not a burden
Anyone should bear.

Constant over stimu-lation numbs me
but I would not want you
Any other way.

It's not enough.
I need more.
Nothing seems to satisfy.
I don't want it.
I just need it.
To breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Finger deep within the borderline.
Show me that you love me and that we belong together.
Relax, turn around and take my hand.

I can help you change
Tired moments into pleasure.
Say the word and we'll be
Well upon our way.

Blend and balance
Pain and comfort
Deep within you
Till you will not want me any other way.

It's not enough.

To breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Knuckle deep inside the borderline.
This may hurt a little but it's something you'll get used to.
Relax. Slip away.

Something kinda sad about
the way that things have come to be.
Desensitized to everything.
What became of subtlety?

How can it mean anything to me
If I really don't feel anything at all?

I'll keep digging till
I feel something.

Elbow deep inside the borderline.
Show me that you love me and that we belong together.
Shoulder deep within the borderline.
Relax. Turn around and take my hand.

since the 1970s, Greece has spent (the equivalent) over €200 billion on defense.

the defense budget of Greece is 4% of GDP, twice the EU average.
Greece has more tanks than the UK.

in the austerity package that Greece signed, the cut to defense spending was just €400 million.

Greece buys 15% of Germany's weapons exports.
